Maung Sein Pe (born 1920) was a Burmese sprinter. He competed in the men's 100 metres and 200 metres at the 1948 Summer Olympics. [1]
Pe was Burma's only athletics competitor in their 1948 Olympic delegation, entering in both the 100 metres and 200 metres. [2] In the 100 metres, he ran 11.78 seconds to place 6th in his heat. [3] The following month in the 200 m, he placed 4th in his heat and did not advance. [4]
At the 1951 Asian Games in New Delhi, Pe entered in the 100 metres, 200 metres, and 4 × 100 metres relay. On 8 March, he placed 3rd in his 200 m heat and ran on the Burmese relay team to place 2nd in their heat, qualifying for the finals. [5]
On 9 March, Pe placed 2nd in his 100 m heat behind Shamin Alfred of India, though his semi-final results were not recorded. Two days later on 11 March, his Burmese relay team placed 6th in the finals. [5]
Pe was part of the Maung nobility in Burma. [6]
