Gert Fridolf Fredriksson was a Swedish sprint canoeist. Competing in four Summer Olympics, he won eight medals including six golds, one silver, and one bronze. At the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Fredriksson was head coach of the Swedish team.

She became the first female Olympic champion in the sport of canoeing when she won the gold medal in the K-1 500 m event at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Karen also won two medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a gold in K-2 500 m in 1948 and a silver in K-1 500 m in 1950.
Ingemar Harald Robert Hedberg was a Swedish sprint canoeist who competed in the early 1950s. He won the silver medal in the K-2 1000 m event at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. Hedberg also won three gold medals at the 1950 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Copenhagen, earning them in the K-1 4×500 m, K-2 500 m, and K-2 1000 m events. He died in May 2019 at the age of 99.

Ivanov also won six medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with four golds, a silver, and a bronze. He died in Crișan, Tulcea in 2004.
