Maxcel Amo Manu (born 28 February 1992) is an Italian T64 Paralympic sprint runner. He represented Italy at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.

Early life

Manu was born and raised in Ghana, and moved to Italy when he was 11 years old. In 2017, he was involved in a motorcycle accident when his left leg was caught in the guardrail. As a result, he became a below-the-knee amputee. [2]

Career

Manu represented Italy at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships and won gold medals in the 100 metres and 200 metres events. [2]

In 2024, he is the holds the world record in the Men's 1500m T46 with a time of 3:36.51 set in 2017. Roeger competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics in the marathon. He has been selected to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, Paris,France - his fifth Games - in the Men's 1500 m T46.
