Mechanics of Advanced Composite Structures is a biannual peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal published by Semnan University. The editor-in-chief is Abdoulhossein Fereidoon (Semnan University). The journal covers all aspects of research on composite structures. It was established in 2014 and is abstracted and indexed in Scopus. [1]
Niranjan Krishna Nayak is an Indian aerospace engineer and Professor Emeritus at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He is known for his research work on thermomechanical behavior of textile composites and ballistic impact, low velocity impact, fatigue and fracture of composites. His special interest is also on science and technology of aircraft production. Major awards and recognitions conferred to him are: Fellowship of the National Academy of Sciences, India (2004); Fellowship of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (2005); Professor H. H. Mathur Award for "Excellence in Research in Applied Sciences 2006" by IIT Bombay; "Excellence in Aerospace Education Award 2008" by the Aeronautical Society of India; Aerospace Engineering Division Gold Medal of the Institution of Engineers (India) for the year 1992-93 for his research on polymer matrix composites and "Shri Hotchand M. Lala and Shrimati Jamuna H. Lala Excellence in Teaching Award, 2013" by IIT Bombay.
Lawrence C. Bank is the associate provost for research at The City College of New York and a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Grove School of Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, as well as a Fellow and currently President of the International Institute for FRP Composites in Construction. Prior to joining CCNY, Bank was on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the Catholic University of America and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has worked as a structural engineer for Leslie E. Robertson and Associates in New York City and as a consultant for the composite materials industry.
Junuthula N. Reddy is a Distinguished Professor, Regent's Professor, and inaugural holder of the Oscar S. Wyatt Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA.[1] He is an authoritative figure in the broad area of mechanics and one of the researchers responsible for the development of the Finite Element Method (FEM). He has made significant seminal contributions in the areas of finite element method, plate theory, solid mechanics, variational methods, mechanics of composites, functionally graded materials, fracture mechanics, plasticity, biomechanics, classical and non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, and applied functional analysis. Reddy has over 620 journal papers and 20 books and has given numerous national and international talks. He served as a member of the International Advisory Committee at ICTACEM, in 2001 and keynote addressing in 2014.[2][3]
The Journal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the International School for Advanced Studies and IOP Publishing. The journal is targeted to scientists interested in different aspects of statistical physics. The editor-in-chief is Marc Mézard.
Advanced Composite Materials is a bimonthly peer-review scientific journal that was established in 1991. It is published by Taylor & Francis on behalf of the Japan Society for Composite Materials and the Korean Society for Composite Materials. The journal covers all scientific and technological aspects of composite materials and composite material structures, including physical, chemical, mechanical, and other properties of advanced composites as well as microscopic to macroscopic behavior studied both experimentally and theoretically. Novel fabrication techniques for composites and composite structural components are also included.
Jan Drewes Achenbach was a professor emeritus at Northwestern University. Achenbach was born in the northern region of the Netherlands, in Leeuwarden. He studied aeronautics at Delft University of Technology, which he finished with a M.Sc. degree in 1959. Thereafter, he went to the United States, Stanford University, where he received his Ph.D. degree in 1962. After working for a year as a preceptor at Columbia University, he was then appointed as assistant professor at Northwestern University.
Professor Bhagavatula Dattaguru is an Indian engineer and academic. He has received several awards, including the Padma Shri Award, India's fourth highest civilian honour in 2005 in the field of science and engineering.
René de Borst is a Dutch civil engineer who is known for his work on computational mechanics and fracture mechanics. Since January 2016 he is the Centenary Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

Charles Ng Wang-wai is the first CLP Holdings Professor of Sustainability and Chair Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He is also the vice-president of HKUST (Guangzhou) and the dean of the Fok Ying Tung Graduate School at HKUST, Clear Water Bay Campus. He is the immediate past president of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), where he served as the 17th President from 2017 to 2022.
Emmanuel E. Gdoutos is a Greek academic, Professor Emeritus at the Democritus University of Thrace and Full Member of the Academy of Athens. He has worked in experimental mechanics, fracture mechanics, composite materials, and sandwich structures. His main scientific accomplishments include the solution of many problems of crack growth under combination of opening-mode and sliding-mode loading which were published in his book: “Problems of Mixed-Mode Crack Propagation." His contributions have been widely recognized worldwide through membership and leadership in scientific societies, national academies and honorary diplomas and awards.
Yehia Bahei El-DinFAAS is an Egyptian professor of materials Science. He was the Dean of Engineering and, as of December 2022, the Vice-president for Research and Postgraduate Studies at the British University in Egypt.
