She debuted as a composer with a short lullaby titled Laali, which she also sang and released as part of Instagram's #1MinMusic. She is also a social activist often raising her voice against issues faced by women and has been the face of the second wave of #MeToo movement in India.

Rahman is the most frequent winner with sixteen wins, which also includes nine consecutive wins between 1992 and 2000. Harris Jayaraj follows A. R. Rahman with five wins.

Krish is an Indian Playback singer who has worked on Tamil language and Telugu language films. He was introduced to the Tamil Cinema as a Singer by the successful duos Gautham Vasudev Menon and Harris Jayaraj in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu for the song "Manjal Veyyil". After beginning his career as a playback singer, he has also appeared in films as an actor.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is the soundtrack of the 2010 Tamil romance film of the same name, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The soundtrack album and background score were composed by A. R. Rahman, collaborating with Menon for the first time. The lyrics for the songs were penned by Menon's usual associate, Thamarai along with Kalyani Menon and Kaithapram, the latter penning the Malayalam lyrics in the album. The album was released on 25 December 2009 in London with several film personalities participating at the grand function. It was the first time that a Tamil film audio release was held in London. It was followed by an audio launch function which was also held in Chennai on 6 January 2010. Sony Music India released the album. The album opened to positive reviews from music critics. The audio was marked as #1 in Asia, in terms of advance bookings. The album was ranked among the best musicals of 2010. A collector's edition of the film was released on 1 December 2010, which featured two unreleased tracks. The same soundtrack album was reused in the simultaneous Telugu version Ye Maaya Chesave (2010) and its Hindi remake Ekk Deewana Tha (2012).
Krishna Iyer is a Tamil cinema Indian playback singer from Chennai, India who performs Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu songs. His rendition of "En Uchi Mandaila" from the Illayathalapathi film Vettaikaran, composed by Vijay Antony and starring Vijay, topped the music charts for many weeks in 2009. His first entry into the Tamil music industry was through the movie Kanthaswamy, starring Chiyaan Vikram. Krishna rendered the rap portion of the song "En Peru Meenakumari," scored by Devi Sri Prasad. He has several night shows and TV programs to his credit. Krishna Iyer has performed in several live shows internationally. His most recent singing credits include Harris Jayaraj's "Google Google" from Thuppakki, which he sang along with actor Vijay. In 2013, "Yaelae Yaelae Dosthu Da" for Harris Jayaraj, from the movie Endrendrum Punnagai, topped the iTunes India chart. Maattrraan (transl. Alternate) is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language sci-fi action thriller film co-written and directed by K. V. Anand and produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, S. Ganesh and S. Suresh under the banner AGS Entertainment. It stars Suriya in dual roles as a conjoined twin brothers, along with Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead. It also stars an ensemble supporting cast. The dialogues were penned by the duo Suresh and Balakrishnan. The film features music composed by Harris Jayaraj, cinematography handled by Soundararajan, editing done by Anthony, respectively. V. Srinivas Mohan, handled the visual effects.

Harris: On The Edge is the first concert tour by Indian composer Harris Jayaraj. The tour will commence in India and will proceed to Europe, South Africa and North America. The tour will also feature the original singers crooning the numbers.
Kharesma Ravichandran is a British playback singer for Tamil cinema films. Her first public performance came at the age of four for the British Heart Foundation. A professionally trained western vocalist, Ravichandran began her playback singing career in 2014, with her debut coming in the Tamil film Yennai Arindhaal (2015). Minnale is the debut soundtrack album composed by Harris Jayaraj for the 2001 Indian Tamil-language film of the same name, starring Madhavan, Abbas, Reema, Vivek and Nagesh, and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in his directorial debut. The film's soundtrack comprised nine songs, written by Vaali, Thamarai and C. S. Amudhan.
Anniyan is the soundtrack album composed by Harris Jayaraj for the 2005 Indian Tamil film of the same name directed by S. Shankar. It eventually marked Harris' maiden collaboration, replacing his usual music director A. R. Rahman, who worked for his previous ventures as Rahman was busy with the production of the international musicals Bombay Dreams and Lord of the Rings. Harris Jayaraj began working on the soundtrack in early 2004 and completed within April 2005. But the re-recording of the soundtrack and score which began on the same month took place for more than 45 days, which resulted in delaying the film's release till 17 June 2005.
