Therion is a Swedish symphonic metal band founded by Christofer Johnsson in 1987. Its name was inspired by the Celtic Frost album To Mega Therion. "To Mega Therion" is Greek for "The Great Beast" and was a title used by occultist Aleister Crowley. Originally a death metal band, Therion adjusted its musical style by adding orchestral elements, including choirs, classical musicians, and even a full orchestra at their concert performances. As a result, they are considered pioneers of the symphonic metal genre.
Rage is a German heavy metal band formed in 1984 by Peavy Wagner. They were part of the German heavy/speed/power metal scene which emerged in the early to mid-1980s, and have been referred to as one of the country's so-called "big four" of power metal, along with Grave Digger, Helloween and Running Wild.

Speak of the Dead is the 18th studio album by German heavy metal band Rage, released in 2006 by Nuclear Blast. The album contains a mix of different music genres, adding symphonic and progressive influences to their usual fast power metal/melodic thrash metal. The band go back to the album Lingua Mortis' themes and atmospheres in the suite that opens the album, called "Suite Lingua Mortis" that consists in eight parts, using a full symphonic orchestra recorded in Minsk, Belarus. The album marked the last featuring drummer Mike Terrana.

It contains new material and previously unreleased tracks from the band's long career, as well the re-recording of "Prayers of Steel", from Avenger's first album and a medley of Rage's fan favourite tunes. The album features guest appearances from all the musicians that had played in Rage. The album was remastered by Noise/Sanctuary in 2002 with five bonus tracks.
Classic Diamonds is the ninth studio album by the German female hard rock singer Doro Pesch. It was released worldwide in 2004 by AFM Records. The album presents new acoustic and symphonic arrangements for songs from Doro's repertoire, as well as some new compositions. The music is mostly played by the Classic Night Orchestra, an ensemble of young classical musicians that accompanied Doro in the following European tour.
Strings to a Web is the 20th studio album by German heavy metal band Rage, released in Europe on 5 February 2010 through Nuclear Blast Records. The American and Japanese editions of the album were released in a special two-disc set, which included a DVD with live performances and videos.
Classic Diamonds – The DVD is a DVD video album by hard rock singer Doro Pesch, released in 2004 by AFM Records. The DVD contains footage from two concerts held during the European tour which followed the release of the studio album Classic Diamonds. The album was a special project for Doro Pesch, who revised and re-arranged some of her songs for the Classic Night Orchestra, a 30-elements symphonic orchestra. A smaller ensemble of the orchestra accompanied Doro and her usual touring musicians on tour, but the full orchestra was on stage in August 2004 at Wacken Open Air for a strictly acoustic set, an unusual performance for the largest European heavy metal festival. Special guests of the night were former-Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley and guitarist Chris Caffery.

Lingua Mortis is the eleventh full-length album by the German heavy metal band Rage, released in 1996. It's the band's first collaboration with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, which played with the band Rage's songs re-arranged for a classic orchestra. The album consists of re-recorded songs from the previous album, Black in Mind and an epic medley of songs from recent albums to that time.
Ghosts is the 14th full-length album by the German heavy metal band Rage with the Lingua Mortis Orchestra. It was released in 1999. Despite being composed with the same line-up as their three last studio albums, the musicians appearing inside the album lyrics leaflet are Victor Smolski and Mike Terrana, who joined the band when Fischer and the Efthimiadis brothers left the band during the recording. Smolski and Terrana became official members, joining Peavy Wagner for the tour following the release.
