Michael Holmstrom Jr. is an American politician serving since 2025 as a member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota,Holmstrom represents District 29 in central Minnesota, [1] located primarily in Wright County. [2]
Holstrom was elected to the Minnesota Senate in a special election on November 4,2025. The district was vacated upon the death of Republican Bruce Anderson. [3] After winning a primary election in August 2025, [4] Holstrom defeated Louis McNutt (DFL) with over 73% of the vote. [5] He was sworn in on November 18,2025. [6]
