Michael Jericho Masangkay Sager (born February 5, 2003) is a Filipino-Canadian actor, model, and host. [3] He gained public recognition as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition .
Michael Jericho Masangkay Sager [3] was born on February 5, 2003, in Gasan, Marinduque. [4] He migrated to Canada with his family, [5] where he pursued his studies. At age 16, Sager began working as an ice cream scooper before becoming a sales associate in a store. [6] [7]
Sager’s first television appearance was as a backup dancer in the Disney Channel film Descendants . [8] He also appeared as an extra in productions by Netflix and Nickelodeon. [9]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sager attempted to audition for Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity . Although he was initially set to audition for the teen edition in 2022, [9] he instead became one of 17 artists handpicked by talent manager Johnny Manahan to join Sparkada, a youth-oriented group under Sparkle GMA Artist Center. [10] He was introduced on the musical-comedy variety show All-Out Sundays . [11] Sager portrayed Sean in the television series Luv Is: Caught In His Arms . [12] He was paired with fellow All-Out Sundays cast member Zephanie as a love team. Their first project together was #Frenemies, the first installment of the youth-oriented anthology Sparkle U . [13] They reprised their roles in the third installment, #SoundTrip. [9]
In July 2023, following the controversial departure of the original hosts, Sager joined the TAPE Inc. version of the noontime show Eat Bulaga! as a co-host. [14] Along with co-hosts Yasser Marta, Kokoy de Santos, and Kimpoy Feliciano, they formed the all-male group "Chaleco Boys." [15] The show was later renamed Tahanang Pinakamasaya! after TVJ won the copyright infringement case. [16]
The same year, Sager made his film debut as Gab in Five Breakups and a Romance , starring Alden Richards and Julia Montes. [17] In 2024, he landed a main role in Shining Inheritance , the Philippine adaptation of the Korean drama Brilliant Legacy . He also starred in the 2025 mini-series My Ilonggo Girl alongside Jillian Ward. [14]
In March 2025, Sager was revealed as part of the initial lineup of housemates for Pinoy Big Brother: CelebrityCollab Edition, where he gained further attention under the moniker “Ang Diligent Wonder Son ng Marinduque.” [11] [14] He was evicted on Day 63 with fellow duo-partner, Emilio Daez. [18]
In July 2025, Sager also appeared on an episode of Rainbow Rumble on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and All TV, [19] which all of these channels are also airing It's Showtime with GMA Network. [20] [21] [22]
