Michael Johannes Malmin Tyllesen (born 27 August 1973) [1] is a Danish former competitive figure skater. He is the 1997 Skate Canada International bronze medalist, a two-time Piruetten champion, and a two-time Nordic champion.

Career

Tyllesen was a member of Gladsaxe Skøjteløber Forening. [2] [3] He also trained in Edmonton and Lake Arrowhead, California, and worked with choreographers Lorna Brown and Igor Bobrin. [4]

Tyllesen's career-best ISU Championship result, sixth, came at the 1993 European Championships in Helsinki, Finland. He served as Denmark's flag bearer at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway; [5] he finished 13th after placing 13th in the short and 12th in the free skate. [1]

Tyllesen finished ninth at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and 13th at the 1998 World Championships in Minneapolis.

After retiring from competition in 2000, Tyllesen performed in ice shows for nine years and then became a coach in Denmark. [6] [7] [4] He is the head coach at Tårnby Skøjteklub. [8]

Marika Humphreys-Baranova is a British former competitive ice dancer. With partner and husband Vitaliy Baranov, she is the 2002 Karl Schäfer Memorial champion, 2001 Finlandia Trophy silver medalist, 2000 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist, and a two-time British national champion. Michael Christian Martinez is a Filipino Olympic figure skater. He is the 2015 Asian Figure Skating Trophy champion, a two-time Triglav Trophy champion and has won one ISU Challenger Series medal, silver at the 2014 Warsaw Cup. Martinez is the first skater from Southeast Asia and from a tropical country to qualify for the Olympics, was the only athlete to represent the Philippines at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and was one of only two to represent the Philippines at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Lars Gandrup Dresler was a Danish figure skater. He was the 1990 Nordic champion and a five-time Danish national (1984–88). Dresler served as Denmark's flag bearer at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. He finished 14th overall after placing 14th in the compulsory figures, 12th in the short program, and 15th in the free skate. He trained at Gladsaxe Skøjteløber Forening. He was coached by Lorna Brown.

Alan Spiegl is a former pair skater for Czechoslovakia. With Ingrid Spieglová, he won six national titles and competed at the 1976 Winter Olympics.
