Microbulbifer salipaludis is a moderate halophilic bacteria. It is Gram-negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming and rod-shaped. The type strain of the species is strain SM-1T (=KCCM 41586T =JCM 11542T). [1]
Microbulbifer is a genus of bacteria found in high-salt environments. Members of this genus can degrade complex carbohydrates such as cellulose, alginate, and chitin. Recently, Microbulbifer degredans was renamed Saccharophagus degredans.
Microbulbifer elongatus is a Gram-negative marine bacterium.
Halobacillus karajensis is a species of bacteria. It is halophilic, Gram-positive, spore-forming, strictly aerobic and rod-shaped. Its type strain is MA-2T. Halobacillus karajensis is commonly found in marine environment. S.I. Paul et al. (2021) isolated and characterized Halobacillus karajensis from marine sponges of the Saint Martin's Island of the Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh.
Chryseobacterium defluvii is a bacterium. It is Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming and yellow-pigmented, having been first isolated from wastewater, hence its name. Its type strain is B2T.
Psychrobacter jeotgali is a species of bacteria named after jeotgal, a traditional Korean fermented seafood, where it was first isolated. It is a Gram-negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming, and moderately halophilic coccus. The type strain is YKJ-103T.
Microbulbifer marinus is a Gram-negative, aerobic bacterium found in marine sediment. Its type strain is Y215T.
Microbulbifer yueqingensis is a Gram-negative, aerobic bacterium found in marine sediment. Its type strain is Y226T.
Microbulbifer mangrovi is a polysaccharide-degrading bacterium isolated from an Indian mangrove, hence its name. It is rod-shaped, Gram-negative, non-motile, aerobic and non-endospore forming, its type strain designated DD-13(T).
Jeotgalicoccus halotolerans is a gram-positive bacterium. It is moderate halophilic, it growth in the presence of 0–20% NaCl. The cells are coccoid, with a diameter of 0.6–1.1 μm.
Microbulbifer hydrolyticus is a gram-negative, rod-shaped, strictly aerobic bacteria, the type species of its genus. It was first isolated from lignin-rich pulp mill effluent. Its type strain is IRE-31.
Marinobacter lipolyticus is a moderate halophile with lipolytic activity. It is Gram-negative and rod-shaped, with type strain SM19T.
Hahella gaghwensis is a marine strain of Gram-negative, aerobic, and obligately halophilic bacteria of the gammaproteobacteria. Unlike its relative, H. chejuensis, H. ganghwensis is obligately halophilic, and both have distinctly different metabolic capabilities and fatty acid content.
Microvirga subterranea is a Gram-negative, moderate thermophile, rod-shaped and aerobic bacteria with a single polar flagellum from the genus of Microvirga which has been isolated from the Great Artesian Basin in Queensland in Australia.
Muricauda lutaonensis is a Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped moderately thermophilic and non-motile bacterium of the genus Muricauda which has been isolated from a hot spring on Green Island off the coast of Taiwan. The strain CC-HSB-11 of Muricauda lutaonensis produces zeaxanthin.
Marinobacter segnicrescens is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, ellipsoid-shaped, moderately halophilic and motile bacterium from the genus of Marinobacter which has been isolated from sediments from the South China Sea.
Nitriliruptor alkaliphilus is a non-spore-forming and non-motile bacterium from the genus Nitriliruptor which has been isolated from sediments from a soda lake in Siberia in Russia.
Microbulbifer marinus is a Gram-negative and strictly aerobic bacterium from the genus of Microbulbifer which has been isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of the sea urchin Heliocidaris crassispina from Dokdo in Korea.
