| It is proposed that this article be deleted because of the following concern: Completely undocumented artifact of an unreliable USGS gazetteer and people describing where Dunlap, Indiana is. - There is no Midway in Elkhart in 19th century gazetteers, such as the 1859 Shipper's Guide, the 1854 Thomas/Baldwin, the 1880/1902 Lippincott's, the 1895 Longman's, or de Colange's National Gazetteer.
- The Weaver History has no such place at all, in Concord Township or otherwise. Its only "midway" is the "county asylum, midway between Goshen and Elkhart". Where is that midway point? Page 83 says "Dunlaps". Yes, that's Dunlap.
- The Muncie History comes up with nothing.
- The Chapman History comes up with nothing, too.
- The Deahl History comes up with nothing, too.
- Baker's 1995 book has only Midway, Spencer County, Indiana (and Colfax in Clinton) as also have de Colange, Thomas/Baldwin, and the 1880 Lippincott's.
- Those tornadoes? Thornton's 2022 Arcadia Publishing book explains. It's a trailer court, not a town at all, and it is south of Dunlap. Contemporary 1960s accounts say Dunlap, too. The name Midway Trailer Court does give away that it's not a town.
- Midway Airport is not a "community". Not unless you think that aeroplanes are humans. It's a bloody airport , in Dunlap.
This is a name on USGS maps and thus in the GNIS, only. It is unverifiable what it even was supposed to be. (proposed by Uncle G )
