This article may need to be rewritten to comply with Wikipedia's quality standards, as this is GNIS "community" malarkey, outright contradicted by its source Godspeed 1885 calling it a town, in its discussion of "other small villages" of the county. The 1995 Baker book says that it was a village, too. Most contemporary gazetteers, such as the 1880 Lippincott's and de Colange's 1884 National Gazetteer call it a "post-hamlet", i.e. a hamlet with a post office.(February 2025) |
