Mike Jacoby (born May 1969) is an American snowboarder who competed in the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. [1]
Jacoby was born in Bellevue, Washington, but grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. [2] He pursued alpine and cross-country skiing until he was 14, when he built his first snowboard and began snowboarding. [3]
Jacoby's first event was the 1986 swatch world championships in Breckenridge Co. In the Junior 16 and under category he placed 7th in slalom, 8th in giant slalom, and 5th in Half pipe.[ citation needed ]

Jacoby won the gold medal in both the 1995 and 1996 World Cup giant slalom. [4] He placed second in the 1996 FIS Snowboarding World Championships giant slalom, [5] and in the 1997 Snowboarding World Championships placed first in the parallel slalom [6] and second in the giant slalom. [7] He placed 17th in the 1998 Winter Olympics. [2]
In 2010 Jacoby was injured while mountain biking, and received a severe head injury. [8]

Justin Reiter is an American snowboard coach and former snowboarder. He won a silver medal in the parallel slalom at the 2013 FIS Snowboarding World Championships. He is also a ten-time national champion and was selected for the 2014 Winter Olympics, where he was the only American male to compete in the parallel slalom and parallel giant slalom. He had 100 starts in the FIS Snowboard World Cup and scored four podium finishes, including one win in Moscow in 2015 - the first win by an American in a parallel competition for a decade. Reiter also finished third in the overall parallel standings for the 2014-15 season. In 2016 he filed suit against the International Olympic Committee in 2016 to save parallel slalom, which had been dropped from the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic program. In September 2017 he announced his retirement. Subsequently he took up coaching: among the snowboarders he trains are Michael Trapp, Robby Burns and Ester Ledecká.

Ester Ledecká is a Czech snowboarder and alpine skier. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Ledecká won gold medals in the super-G in alpine skiing and in the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding, becoming the first person to not only compete in the Winter Olympics using two different types of equipment but to go further and win two gold medals and do so at the same Winter Olympics. She was the second woman to win an Olympic gold in two separate disciplines but the first to do so at the same Winter Olympics. She was the first Czech to win the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding at the FIS Snowboard World Cup.
