The California State University is a public university system in California. With 23 campuses and eight off-campus centers enrolling 485,550 students with 55,909 faculty and staff, CSU is the largest four-year public university system in the United States. It is one of three public higher education systems in the state, with the other two being the University of California system and the California Community Colleges. The CSU System is incorporated as The Trustees of the California State University. The California State University system headquarters are in Long Beach, California.

North Carolina Central University, a state-supported liberal arts institution, is a public, historically black university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Dr. James E. Shepard in affiliation with the Chautauqua movement in 1909, it was supported by private funds from both Northern and Southern philanthropists. It was made part of the state system in 1923, when it first received state funding and was renamed as Durham State Normal School. Carol Tecla Christ is an American academic administrator. In March 2017, she was named the 11th Chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley, the first woman to hold that position. She succeeded outgoing Chancellor Nicholas B. Dirks on July 1, 2017.
San Joaquin Delta College, also known as Delta College, is a public community college in Stockton, California first founded in 1935 as Stockton Junior College. With over 100 career and degree certificate programs, Delta College is a low-cost option for students in California's Central Valley wishing to learn a new trade, upgrade their skills, or earn transfer units to four-year colleges and universities. Kent State University at Stark is a satellite campus of Kent State University in Jackson Township, Ohio. Kent State Stark promotes environmental and social responsibility and was recognized on the President's Service Learning Honor Roll for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Muriel A. Howard is the former president of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) in Washington, D.C., and served as the seventh president of Buffalo State College in the State University of New York (SUNY) system from 1996 to 2009. Prior to her presidency at Buffalo State College, she was the vice president for public service and urban affairs at the SUNY educational institution, the University at Buffalo, where she worked for 23 years. Howard was educated at public universities in New York State, as well as at Harvard University, where she graduated from the University's Institute of Management. Howard has been a leader and member of many corporate boards of directors; and councils and committees in higher education and city government. Further, she has been the recipient of many awards and honors throughout her career.
Nicholas B. Dirks is an American academic and the former Chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley. Dirks is the author of numerous books on South Asian history and culture, primarily concerned with the impact of British colonial rule. In June 2020, Dirks was named president and CEO of The New York Academy of Sciences.
Betsy Vogel Boze, is an American academic and higher education administrator. During her career at public universities she has been a professor of marketing, department chair, dean, CEO of Kent State University at Stark, and president of The College of The Bahamas. She is a senior fellow at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) researching alternative revenue streams for public colleges and universities.
Richard H. Herman is a former mathematician who had served as the Chancellor of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2005-2009. He previously served there as Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs since 1998. As provost he garnered support for, and administered, a “faculty excellence” program designed to bring established faculty to the institution. Over the course of his administrative tenure, sponsored research at the university increased by more than 50%.

J. Michael Ortiz is an American educator and the 5th president of Cal Poly Pomona. Prior to this appointment on August 1, 2003 Ortiz was professor of education at Appalachian State University and vice president for academic affairs at Fresno State. He was listed in 2005 as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in 2005 by Hispanic Business magazine. In 2008 Latino Magazine named him one of the Top 25 Latinos in Education.
Fieldon King Alexander is an American former university administrator and professor of higher education policy and finance. He was the president of Oregon State University, Louisiana State University, California State University, Long Beach, and Murray State University. He resigned from his most recent position as President of Oregon State University in 2021 after a faculty vote of no-confidence.
F.C. Richardson served as a president of Buffalo State College, a higher education institution that is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, from July 1, 1989, to January 1, 1996; and, following that, as chancellor of Indiana University Southeast from 1996 to 2002. Richardson was the first college president of African American heritage at Buffalo State.

A. Zachary Faison Jr. is an American academic administrator and attorney. In 2018, he became the 30th President and CEO of Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida. Faison previously served at Tuskegee University as General Counsel and Vice President of External Affairs.
