Mindrot was an American extreme metal band formed in 1989 by Adrian Leroux and Matt Fisher in Westminster, California. They disbanded in 1998.
The band began in 1989 in Westminster, California. After a year of rehearsal and lineup adjustments, the band held a demo release in a living room in Huntington Beach with Glycine Max in June 1990. Shows would follow with other notable bands; Born Against, Rorschach, Neurosis, Bolt Thrower, Grave, Nausea, and Voodoo Glow Skulls.
The band next recorded the Endeavor EP and released it through a double-label, Tempest Records and Angry Thoreauan, [2] following with a split 7-inch with a band called Apocalypse (not to be confused with the more notable band also called Apocalypse).
In 1992, the first major lineup change came with the addition of long time friend Evan Kilbourne on drums, with whom they recorded Live in the Studio (produced by Jim Barnes, who also produced Dawning and Soul) .
In late 1992, Faded Dream was recorded, and was used to shop the band to record labels. One record label wanted to release "Faded Dream", but the band wanted to re-record some parts for better sound quality. That record label did not want to spend any money on the recording and thus it was never properly released.
In 1994, another lineup change occurred. Matt Parrillo decided it would be in his best interests to leave the band and pursue his other band Dystopia as well as his graphic arts career. He was replaced by John Flood, another good friend with the band (as well as one of Matt Fisher's former bandmates in Rupture, which went on to become Confrontation).
Forlorn was released in 1995, followed by Dawning.
Relapse Records and Nuclear Blast Records ended their business relationship with each other, ending European distribution for Dawning.
After the release of Soul, in early 1998 Mindrot played its last show, unknown to anyone there or even anyone in the band. It took place at Club Mesa in Costa Mesa, California with Oxbow. No more than 30 people were in attendance included in the audience guitarist and SST mastermind Greg Ginn.
The band ostensibly broke up when Evan Kilbourne decided to pursue other musical interests in Save Ferris.
The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band formed in Boston in 1986 by Evan Dando, Ben Deily, and Jesse Peretz. Dando has remained the band's only constant member. After their initial punk-influenced releases and tours as an independent/college rock band in the late 1980s, the Lemonheads' popularity with a mass audience grew in 1992 with the major label album It's a Shame about Ray, which was produced, engineered, and mixed by The Robb Brothers. This was followed by a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson", which eventually became one of the band's most successful singles. The Lemonheads were active until 1997 before going on hiatus, but reformed with a new lineup in 2005 and released The Lemonheads the following year. The band released its latest album, Varshons 2, in February 2019.
Dying Fetus is an American death metal band from Greater Upper Marlboro, Maryland, formed in 1991. Various lineup changes throughout the years have left John Gallagher as the sole remaining original member, as well as the band's driving force. According to Gallagher, the band name was chosen while the members were young and was intended to be offensive. To date, Dying Fetus has released nine studio albums.
Runemagick is a Swedish death/doom band formed in 1990. The band was started by Nicklas "Terror" Rudolfsson under the name Desiderius, which was quickly changed to Runemagic. First, the band consisted solely of Rudolfsson, but he was later joined by Robert "Reaper" Pehrsson. They started out as a pure death metal band but later incorporated doom metal influences, inspired by the likes of Bathory, Treblinka/Tiamat, Celtic Frost, Nihilist/Entombed, and Candlemass.

Dystopia was an American crust punk/sludge metal band that formed in Orange County, California in 1991. They were popular in both the heavy metal and punk scenes, due in large part to the band's bleak, misanthropic imagery. Dystopia's lyrics often dealt with human emotions and social or political issues such as environmentalism, racial equality, substance abuse, and animal rights.

Gang Green is an American punk rock band originally from Braintree, Massachusetts. Chris Doherty (guitar), Bill Manley (bass) and Mike Dean (drums) started the band in 1980 and broke up in 1983. Doherty reformed Gang Green the following year, and the band experienced numerous lineup changes until its dissolution for the second time in 1992. Doherty has been the band's only constant member and has kept Gang Green active from 2005 onwards. The band was influential in the formation of the East Coast hardcore punk scene, and went on to become one of the forerunners of crossover thrash and speed metal in the late 1980s.
Morgion was an American doom/death metal band from Orange County, California, United States. Morgion was formed in 1990 by Dwayne Boardman (guitars), Jeremy Peto, Mike Davis (guitars) and Rhett Davis (drums). The band recorded their debut “Rabid Decay” demo in 1991, followed by the “Travesty” 7" in 1993. With the addition of Bobby Thomas (guitars) and Ed Parker (keyboards) in 1994, Morgion recorded what would become Among Majestic Ruin, licensed for release to Relapse Records in 1996. In 1995, Gary Griffith joined Morgion as a replacement for Parker on keyboards. In 1998, Thomas departed and Griffith took on both guitar and keyboard duties. Morgion then wrote and recorded Solinari; released by Relapse Records in 1999. After being shelved by Relapse Records because they didn't know how to promote the band and Jeremy Peto (bass/vocals) leaving, Morgion took a hiatus to recoup. 2002 saw the band moving forward with Justin Christian on bass and an album partnership with Dark Symphonies. Cloaked by Ages, Crowned in Earth, the final album, was released in April 2004. Morgion toured Europe on the Doomination Tour, during that tour they decided it would be their last and Morgion would be no more. Despite their name being on the US Doomination Tour, Morgion did not play any shows. Rhett and Justin went as roadies for the other bands, Gary and Dwayne did not go. 2004 saw the official end of Morgion.

When they broke up in 1994, members DiDonato and Ney formed Fountain of Tears with members of Believer.
Human = Garbage is the debut by the American band Dystopia, released originally as a 12-inch EP through Life is Abuse, Common Cause, and Misanthropic Records. The record was later reissued on CD format containing a set of bonus tracks taken from the band’s 1992 demo tape, when they were a 4-piece band. They recorded 7 songs in 1992 with Dan Kaufman as their lead vocalist, and titled it as “Live In The Studio Demo,” and released two versions of it with different artwork / design. As of 1994, Kaufman was no longer part of Dystopia, and so a 3-piece band they remained until they split.

Dystopia is the third and final studio album by the American sludge metal band Dystopia. It was recorded sporadically between 2004 and 2005, though the album's release wouldn't occur until February 2008 via Life Is Abuse, shortly after the band had already split up.

Nothing is an American shoegaze band formed in 2010 by vocalist-guitarist Domenic "Nicky" Palermo. The band has had a revolving lineup throughout its career, with Palermo being the sole constant member following the departure of longtime guitarist-vocalist Brandon Setta in 2019. The two guitarists shared songwriting duties during Setta's tenure in Nothing.
