Mr. Children, commonly referred to by their contracted nickname "Misu-Chiru" (ミスチル), are a Japanese pop rock band formed in 1989. Consisting of Kazutoshi Sakurai, Kenichi Tahara, Keisuke Nakagawa, and Hideya Suzuki, they made their major label debut in 1992. They are one of the best selling artists in Japan and one of the most successful Japanese rock artists, having sold over 75 million records and creating the "Mis-chil Phenomenon" (ミスチル現象) in the mid-1990s in Japan. Lee Ahyumi

Lee Ayumi, professionally known as Ayumi in South Korea and Yumi Itō in Japan, is a Japanese-born South Korean singer, actress and entertainer based in Japan and South Korea. She debuted under the stage name Ahyoomee in 2001, as the leader and lead vocal of South Korean girl group Sugar until the group's disbandment in 2006. Following the disbandment, Lee embarked on a solo career in South Korea under SM Entertainment, releasing two digital singles. In 2008, she returned to Japan and began an acting career under the Japanese stage name Yumi Itō. Bitter & Sweet is the first album released by Beni Arashiro under her new label Universal Music Japan and her new stage name, Beni on September 2, 2009. The CD+DVD version is a limited edition with all her single PVs and two new PVs named "The Boy Is Mine", which features Tynisha Keli, and "Superstar" which are both cover songs. The vocals for the DJ Hasebe Remix of "Kiss Kiss Kiss" were recorded from one of her live performances. The song "Dakishimete", featuring Dohzi-T, was released on 19 August as an online download on Recochoku's Chaku Uta. The song debuted on the #5 place on the Chaku-Uta charts and the #2 place on the Recochoku chart. The album debuted at the #6 place on the Oricon chart. The day after it rose to the #5 place. At the end of the first week, the album ended up on the #5 spot on the weekly chart selling about 30,000 copies making it Beni's highest ranked and best selling album to date. She went on a release club tour. The tour was named Bitter&Sweet RELEASE TOUR. The tour was so successful that new tour dates were added. Bitter & Sweet has been certified Gold by RIAJ for shipment of 100,000 copies. On 28 December, it was announced that Bitter & Sweet sold over 100,000 copies.

The RIAJ Digital Track chart was a record chart that ranks the best selling digital singles in Japan, with data provided by the Recording Industry Association of Japan from April 2009. The chart measures cellphone downloads. On July 27, 2012, the service that tracked the charts was shut down.
