U.S. Route 400 is a 481.306-mile-long (774.587 km) mostly east–west U.S. Highway, commissioned in 1994. The highway's western terminus is in Granada, Colorado, at an intersection with US 385. The highway's eastern terminus is southwest of Joplin, Missouri, near Loma Linda, at an interchange with Interstate 44, with which it shares with US 166. It originally ended in Garden City, Kansas; in 1996 it was extended to its current western terminus.
Interstate 435 (I-435) is an Interstate Highway beltway that encircles much of the Kansas City metropolitan area within the states of Kansas and Missouri in the United States.
U.S. Route 166 (US 166) is a 164-mile (264 km) east–west United States highway. This route and US 266 are the only two remaining spurs of historic U.S. Route 66, since US 666 was renumbered to US 491 in 2003.
Route 7 is a state highway with its northern terminus at U.S. Route 24 in northeast Independence and its southern terminus at Interstate 44 southeast of Richland. The section between Harrisonville and Clinton provides an important link for traffic between Springfield and Kansas City.
Route 350 is a highway in the Kansas City, Missouri, area. Its eastern terminus is at the Interstate 470/U.S. Route 50 (I-470/US 50) interchange in Lee's Summit; its western terminus is at I-435 in Kansas City. Along the northern terminus, it fades into Blue Parkway and part of the route is an old alignment of US 50. Notable development along Route 350, particularly in and nearing Raytown, occurred in the late 1970s into the 1980s. However, much of this area now shows its age and the changing socioeconomic makeup of the area, with retail chains falling into disrepair or closing.
Route 291 is a state highway in the western part of the U.S. state of Missouri. Its southern terminus is at I-49/US 71 in Harrisonville; its northern terminus is at I-435 in Kansas City. The route was once designated as US 71 Bypass. Route 291 serves as a main arterial road and commercial strip in Liberty and Independence.
K-171 is a state highway in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Kansas. The 4.890-mile (7.870 km) highway mostly lies on the Crawford County/Cherokee County line except for the easternmost 0.4 miles (0.64 km) of the highway when it is entirely in Cherokee County. Its western terminus is at the intersection of U.S. Route 69 (US-69), US-160 and US-400 south of Pittsburg and its eastern terminus is a continuation as Missouri Route 171 at the Missouri state line near Opolis. K-171's current route was established on May 14, 2003, and the routing has not changed since.
K-96 is a 300-mile-long (480 km) state highway in central and southern Kansas. Its western terminus is at the Colorado state line east of Towner, Colorado, where it continues as Colorado State Highway 96; its eastern terminus since 1999 is at U.S. Route 54/U.S. Route 400 in eastern Wichita.
Interstate 635 (I-635) is a connector highway between I-35 in Overland Park, Kansas, and I-29 in Kansas City, Missouri, approximately 12 miles (19 km) long. It is mostly in the US state of Kansas, servicing the city of Kansas City, Kansas, but extends into Kansas City, Missouri, as well. The freeway's southern terminus is at a stack interchange with I-35. South of this, the mainline becomes an expressway carrying U.S. Route 69 (US 69).
K-126 is a 26.918-mile-long (43.320 km) mostly east–west state highway located entirely within Crawford County in southeastern Kansas. Its western terminus is at U.S. Route 400 (US-400) just south of McCune, and its eastern terminus is the Missouri state line where it continues as Route 126. Along the way the highway passes through the city of McCune and also the city of Pittsburg, where it intersects US-69 and US-160.
Interstate 470 (I-470) is a 16.72-mile (26.91 km) loop of the Interstate Highway System that serves to link southeast Kansas City to Independence via Lee's Summit in Jackson County, Missouri. The western terminus of the freeway is at the Grandview Triangle interchange with I-49, I-435, U.S. Route 50 (US 50), and US 71 while the northern terminus is a cloverleaf interchange with I-70. The freeway travels west to east through southern Kansas City, curving toward the north at the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport and becoming concurrent with Route 291 as the highway travels north toward Independence.
K-26 is a 3.601-mile-long (5.795 km) state highway located entirely within Cherokee County, Kansas. It runs from an intersection with U.S. Route 166 (US-166) and US-400 northwest of the Missouri/Kansas/Oklahoma tripoint north to K-66 in Galena. The highway is maintained by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT).
Route 88 was a 6.8-mile-long (10.9 km) state highway located entirely within the city limits of Springfield. Its western terminus was at Sunshine Street. Its eastern terminus was at Glenstone Avenue. It was a collection of older highways which were still under state maintenance.
Interstate 70 (I-70) is a mainline route of the Interstate Highway System in the United States connecting Cove Fort, Utah, to Baltimore, Maryland. In the US state of Kansas, I-70 extends just over 424 miles (682 km) from the Colorado border near the town of Kanorado to the Missouri border in Kansas City. I-70 in Kansas contains the first segment in the country to start being paved and to be completed in the Interstate Highway System. The route passes through several of the state's principal cities in the process, including Kansas City, Topeka, and Salina. The route also passes through the cities of Lawrence, Junction City, and Abilene.
Interstate 70 (I-70) in the US state of Missouri is generally parallel to the Missouri River. This section of the transcontinental Interstate begins at the Kansas state line on the Intercity Viaduct, running concurrently with US Route 24 (US 24), US 40, and US 169, and the east end is on the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge in St. Louis.
K-150 is a 16.645-mile (26.788 km) east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Kansas. The route begins at a roundabout with U.S. Route 56 (US-56) and US-77 northeast of Marion and runs east to a junction with US-50 southwest of Elmdale. It runs through the Flint Hills region of Kansas, and is a two-lane road its entire length. There are no cities or towns along the road, but it provides a direct link for traffic from Marion, Hillsboro, McPherson and points west to Emporia and the Kansas Turnpike.
K-68 is a 61.517-mile-long (99.002 km) east–west state highway in the U.S. State of Kansas. K-68's western terminus is at U.S. Route 75 (US-75) and K-31 south of Lyndon and the eastern terminus is a continuation as Missouri Route 2 at the Missouri state line.
The Chicago–Kansas City Expressway is a highway that runs between Chicago, Illinois, and Kansas City, Missouri. The road is known as Route 110 in Missouri and Illinois Route 110 (IL 110) in Illinois. IL 110 was created through legislation on May 27, 2010, as the designated route for the Illinois portion of the Chicago–Kansas City Expressway.
K-20 is a 37.21-mile-long (59.88 km) west–east state highway in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Kansas. It connects U.S. Route 75 (US-75) in the Kickapoo Nation Indian Reservation with K-7 southwest of Troy. Along the way, K-20 intersects several major highways, including U.S. Route 159 in Horton, and overlaps U.S. Route 73 from Horton to south of Everest. Northeast of Denton, the highway intersects K-120, which travels north to Severance and Highland. K-20 travels through mostly rural farmlands and is a two-lane highway its entire length.
K-239 is a 5.677-mile-long (9.136 km) east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Kansas. K-239's western terminus is at a diamond interchange with U.S. Route 69 (US-69) west of the City of Prescott. The eastern terminus is at the Missouri state line, where it continues as Missouri Route A. K-239 is a two-lane highway for its entire length.
