Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam is an arcade game that newly crossover with other Gundam in Gundam Vs. series. The game features up to 30 different Mobile Weapons, and a play system similar to previous titles in the Gundam Vs. series.
Bandai Namco released a PlayStation Portable version on November 20, 2008. The sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam Next was released on March 18, 2009.
Unlike the previous series that are set up in the same general universe (Universal Century or Cosmic Era), the background of this game is set up in the real gaming world in 2030, which the Gundam vs. Series produced many spin-offs for each series at that time. The Devil Gundam has somehow invaded into the game systems and merge the different worlds into one. In order to restore the order of the game nature, various heroes from different Gundam Series are joined together to fight against the Devil Gundam.
The game currently featured all timelined TV, OVA and movie productions as far as Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (but with the only exception of New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz ). Though most of the units are leading Gundams, a few non-gundam type units (mostly piloted by leading rivals) are also selectable. Battlefields are made from the general image of the production, rather than reforming the battlefield scene in the animation.
Cost System: Each team has 6000 points. Unlike the previous series, the game reduced the classes of costs into only three - 1000, 2000, and 3000. Also, if player's unit cost is higher than the remaining team points when respawn, the armour point also decreases proportionally (which called as "Cost-over")
Support Unit: Each unit has their own respective support unit, most of them act as a supporting attacker and attack the opponent actively, but a few of them (like Gun-EZ in Victory Gundam) will also act as a shield unless players launches an attack or time has passed. Unlike most of the normal weapons, Support Unit cannot be reloaded unless the player's unit is destroyed.
G-Crossover: The Power-up system since Mobile Suit Gundam: AEUG vs. Titans has changed from enhancement to a large area attack system. Every title has their own G-Crossover attacks, which mostly feature a mass destruction weapon (e.g.: Destroy Gundam) or operations (e.g.: Colony Drop) related to the production.
Weapons and Alternate Units: Through the button combinations are similar to previous series, but many units can switch between weapons (mostly changes from a beam rifle to a beam cannon or else) Some of them can even change to an enhanced mobile suit, for example, the Gundam Mark II can be transformed into the Super Gundam, and the Strike Gundam could switch to Aile/Sword/Launcher Striker Packs. Weapons are not bounded when using a charging attack. Along with the standard attacks, like Double Zeta's Hi-Mega Cannon, and the finishing moves of God/Master Gundam. Some special attacks/effects can be used only in special conditions, Zeta Gundam's Bio-sensor, which gives two special attacks, will be activated for a short time only when the teammate being destroyed. For the Gundam Virsago, Gundam Ashtaron (in mobile armour mode) is treated as a weapon rather than a playable/support unit.
Although vocal theme songs (and sometimes insert songs) are featured in previous series. Almost all the title features a full-vocal theme song as their BGM this time, perhaps inspired by the Another Century's Episode Series. However, Zeta Gundam did not feature a theme song due to its complicated copyright issue, even they had one in Zeta Vs. series, they used a standard BGM instead. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 did not include their background music. They will stick to any other titles', or maps' background music in versus mode.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is a 1985 Japanese television anime series, the second installment in the Gundam franchise, and a sequel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam. The show was created and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, with character designs by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, while the series' mechanical designs are split among Kunio Okawara, Mamoru Nagano, and Kazumi Fujita. Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, is a 1993 Japanese science fiction anime television series. It consists of 51 episodes, and was directed by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino. The series was first broadcast on TV Asahi. Gundam Evolve, also known as Mobile Suit Gundam Evolve, is a series of promotional short films set in the different timelines of the Gundam series. Originally there were only five Evolve episodes, produced from 2001 to 2003, Bandai created ten more Evolve episodes from 2004 to 2007. While the first two episodes took place in the Universal Century, some of the later clips also showed Gundams from the other timelines.

Players can simulate battles in the anime series. The game is designed for 2 players, though there may be different fan-created multiplayer rules. This game is sometimes confused with the Gundam M.S. War Trading Card Game, since both are published by Bandai and are based on the Gundam series.
Gundam: The Battle Master, later known as Battle Assault, is a series of fighting games released for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance. Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed Destiny: Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. II is a 2006 third person arcade game developed by Capcom and published by Namco Bandai Games. It is the sequel to Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. with a slightly revised fighting system, new units and characters, and updates to old characters. Playable characters and units are taken from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED as well its sequel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam Next is the next game in the Gundam VS video game series from Namco Bandai Games, it is the sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam. On September 15, 2009, Famitsu released gameplay screenshots of the PSP version, Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT PLUS, which was released on December 3, 2009. A sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. was released in 2011.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. is a 3D arcade fighting game and the second latest in the series of Gundam VS video game series developed and published by Namco Bandai Games prior to Gundam Versus which is on PS4. Extreme Vs. is the sequel to Capcom's Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT. The game was first unveiled at the AOU 2010 and released on September 28, 2010. The game was later released on the PlayStation 3 on December 1, 2011, featuring balance tweaks.
Mobile Suit Gundam AGE is a 2011 Japanese science fiction anime television series and the twelfth installment in Sunrise's long-running Gundam franchise. Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, also known as Gundam IBO and G-Tekketsu (Gの鉄血), is a Japanese anime television series, the fourteenth mainline entry in Sunrise's long-running Gundam franchise, succeeding Gundam Reconguista in G. The series is directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada, a team which previously collaborated on Toradora! and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. It aired in Japan on MBS and other JNN stations from October 4, 2015 to March 27, 2016, making this the first Gundam series to return to a Sunday late afternoon time slot since Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. A second season premiered the following year on October 2, 2016.
Super Robot Wars V is a tactical role-playing game developed by B.B. Studio and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Released as part of Super Robot Wars' 25th anniversary, it is the eighth standalone entry to the series since Super Robot Wars NEO, with the game's continued focus on the massive crossover between different mecha anime series released in Japan. It is released in Asia on February 23, 2017. A Nintendo Switch and Steam ports of the game were released on October 3, 2019.
