Gameplay

The game features a "Sub Flight" system, where the character-in-control can climb atop a Mobile Suit to initiate its transformation into flight form. [3] The transformations occur seamlessly in real-time. [3]

Plot

Story

The game consists of several different but intertwined arcs, with each assuming the perspectives of the respective characters. [1] Completing one character's arc will unlock another character's arc. [3]

Banagher Arc
Told through the perspective of the protagonist, Banagher Links. In this arc, the player will be piloting the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, alternating between "Unicorn Mode" and "Destroy Mode". [4]
Frontal Arc
Told through the perspective of the antagonist, Full Frontal. In this arc, the player will be piloting Full's personal machine, the MSN-06S Sinanju. [1] [4]
Marida Arc
Told through the perspective of Neo Zeon female ace pilot, Marida Cruz. In this arc, the player will be piloting Marida's NZ-666 Kshatriya. [1] [4]

Development

According to Famitsu, From Software has been paying a lot of attentions to details, from the exterior appearances to the weight of the Mobile Suits, in order to make them feel as real as possible. [3] From Software is also trying bring the immersion of speed to player as much as possible. [3] Sunrise has commented that they were surprised at the impressive level of details of the Mobile Suit recreations. [3]

As of November 2011, the development process was at 70% completion. [3]

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny is an anime television series, a direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED by Sunrise and the overall tenth installment in the Gundam franchise. It retains most of the staff from Gundam SEED, including Director Mitsuo Fukuda. Set two years after the original Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, the plot follows the new character Shinn Asuka, a soldier from the Zodiac Alliance of Freedom Treaty, or ZAFT, composed of humans born genetically enhanced labelled as Coordinators. As ZAFT is about to enter into another war against the regular human race, the Naturals, the series focuses on Shinn's as well as various returning characters' involvement in the war. The series spanned 50 episodes, aired in Japan from October 2004 to October 2005, on the Japan News Network television stations Tokyo Broadcasting System and Mainichi Broadcasting System.

Kira Yamato is a fictional character first introduced as the protagonist from the 2002 Japanese anime television series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, which was produced by Sunrise as part of the Gundam franchise. In the series, Kira is a first-generation Coordinator, a genetically enhanced human being born of normal humans (Naturals). At the beginning of Gundam SEED, Kira lives on the neutral space colony Heliopolis to avoid the war between the Coordinators and the Naturals, but the colony becomes involved in the war shortly thereafter. Kira is the only person within the Earth Alliance—the Naturals' military faction—who is able to effectively pilot their mobile suit—a type of a mecha created by them. He is forced to become a mobile suit pilot and to participate in various battles to protect his friends. Kira has also been featured in Gundam SEED's direct sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, in which he fights to stop a new war between the races' military organizations.
