Michaela Alica Breeze is a British former weightlifter. Breeze was born in Watford and raised in Cornwall and educated at Wadebridge School. She started weightlifting under the guidance of PE teacher Dave Allen. Breeze then went on to Bodmin Community College before attending the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Breeze is well known for commentating at various events including Rio Olympics and Tokyo Olympics.
Nauru has competed in seven editions of the Commonwealth Games to date, beginning in 1990. This very small country, which had a population of just 9,872 at the time of the 2002 census, succeeded in winning at least one medals on each occasion, including at least one gold in their first four appearances.
Tuvalu first participated in the Commonwealth Games in 1998, when a weightlifter attended the games held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Tuvalu has subsequently sent teams to compete in the Commonwealth Games.

Anton Sudesh Peiris Kurukulasooriyage is a weightlifter from Sri Lanka. Kurukulasooriyage was born in Sandalankawa, Sri Lanka. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games he won a bronze medal in the 62 kg event. Kurukulasooriyage was also selected to be a part of Sri Lanka's 2014 Commonwealth Games team, where he was the flagbearer during the opening ceremony. Later he won a silver medal in the 62 kg event.
Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu is an Indian weightlifter. Born in Kakching Khunou, Kakching district, Manipur, she is a two time Commonwealth Games Champion. Chanu won the gold medals at the 2014 Glasgow and the 2018 Gold Coast events in the women's 48 kg and 53 kg weight category respectively. She holds the Commonwealth Games record of 84 kg for the Snatch segment in the latter weight category.
Omkar Shekhar Otari is an Indian Weightlifter, who won Bronze medal in the men's 69 kg weight class at the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, Scotland. He hails from Kolhapur. He also participated at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the 62 kg event.
Punam Yadav is an Indian weightlifter who won Bronze medal in the women's 63 kg weight class at the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, where the gold medal was won by Olauwatoyin Adesanmi of Nigeria. She also won a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia.
Apolonia Vaivai is a Fijian weightlifter. She competed in the women's 75 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze medal. In 2016, she won gold at the Oceania Weightlifting Championships in the 69 kg event. She won a bronze medal again in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Yinka Ayenuwa is a Nigerian weightlifter. He competed in the men's 69 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a silver medal. In 2015, he won 3 silver medals at the African Games.
François Etoundi is a Cameroonian born Australian male weightlifter, competing in the 77 kg category and representing Australia at international competitions. He competed at world championships, most recently at the 2009 World Weightlifting Championships.
Petunu Opeloge is a Samoan male weightlifter, competing in the 85 kg category and representing Samoa at international competitions. Opeloge won the silver medal at the 2013 Pacific Mini Games, 2015 Pacific Games and also the silver medal at the 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championships. He participated at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the 85 kg event and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Muhamad Aznil bin Bidin, is a Malaysian weightlifter who won the gold medal in the men's 62 kg weight class at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. [1][2] He also managed to maintain the gold medal record at the 2022 Commonwealth Games[3] which has already taken place in Birmingham, England in the men's 61 kg weight category. Now Muhamad Aznil is preparing to collect points to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris.
Indika Chathuranga D. Dissanayake Mudiyanselage, also known as Indika Dissanayake, is a Sri Lankan male weightlifter. He competed in the 69 kg division at the Asian Games, South Asian Games and at the Commonwealth Games, and won silver medals at the 2016 South Asian Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Kristel Ngarlem is a Canadian weightlifter. She won the silver medal in the women's 87 kg event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, England. She is a bronze medallist at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships. She represented Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
