Apart from her highly cited scientific research in Pharmaceutical Nanoscience,Uchegbu is also known for her work in science public engagement and equality and diversity in Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). In December 2023,it was announced that she will become President of Wolfson College,Cambridge in October 2024.
Hadiza Nuhu OON is a senior lecturer in the Department of Pharmacognosy and Drug Development at Ahmadu Bello University. She is also an herbal medicine practitioner. Nuhu is an associate professor of pharmacy.

Viness Pillay FAAS (1970–2020) was a South African professor of pharmacy at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Founded in 1987,it was a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2001,it was moved to Federal Ministry of Health.
Charles Obadiah Nimma Wambebe was a Nigerian professor of pharmacology who served as the director-general/chief executive officer of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) in Abuja. He contributed to the development of Niprisan,a phytomedicine for sickle cell disorder management,which led to The World Academy of Sciences Award in Medical Sciences. He also worked as a consultant in traditional medicine for various international organisations and held professorships at Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa and Makerere University in Uganda.
