Monchy & Alexandra were a bachata musical group from the Dominican Republic. They sang together as a duo in the period 1998 to 2008. Their discography consists of three studio albums, three compilation albums, two live albums and ten singles.
The duo released their debut studio single Hoja En Blanco in 1999. The debut album was released in 1999 and was named after the debut single. Upon the success of the lead single, it made its way to number thirteen on the Billboard Tropical/Salsa Airplay chart. Confesiones, the duo's follow-up effort was released in 2002 and produced two top-ten singles on the Tropical/Salsa Airplay chart: "Te Quiero Igual Que Ayer" and "Dos Locos," with the former reaching the number two position. The album peaked at number eight and number two on the Billboard Top Latin Albums and Billboard Tropical/Salsa Albums charts, respectively.
2003 saw the release of their first remix album, The Mix. It reached number fifty on the Top Latin Albums chart and number five on the Tropical Albums chart. It featured one single, "Polos Opuesto" which reached the top ten of the Tropical/Salsa Airplay chart, peaking at number seven.
Monchy & Alexandra's final studio album, Hasta El Fin (2004) became their first album to enter the Billboard 200 when it entered at number 193. It peaked at number seven on the Top Latin Albums chart, giving the duo their first number-one album on the Tropical/Salsa Albums chart. It produced two singles, "Perdidos" and "Hasta El Fin," both of which made it to the top five of the Tropical/Salsa Airplay chart. "Perdidos" lead the chart for seven weeks in 2004, while leading for another eight weeks in 2005. It became their first single to enter the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number ninety-two. It also reached the number three position on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
In 2006, the duo released a greatest hits compilation, Éxitos y Más. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number 181, peaking within the top ten of both the Top Latin Albums and Tropical Albums charts. "No Es Una Novela" was released as single for the album, giving the duo their second number-one on the Tropical Songs chart.
In 2019, Monchy & Alexandra appeared as featured artists on American singer Romeo Santos' fourth studio album Utopia.

Monchy & Alexandra were a bachata musical group from the Dominican Republic. They sang together as a duo beginning in 1998. Their first big hit was "Hoja en Blanco (song)", which they released in 1999. Since then, they had many other hits, such as "Hasta El Fin" and "Perdidos", both from their 2004 album Hasta el Fin, as well as "No Es Una Novela" from their 2006 Éxitos y Más album. They have been often credited with being instrumental in popularizing bachata music outside of the Dominican Republic.
"No Me Ames" is a Latin pop duet recorded by American singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony for Lopez's debut studio album, On the 6 (1999). It is a Spanish cover version of the Italian song "Non Amarmi", written by Giancarlo Bigazzi, Marco Falagiani and Aleandro Baldi and recorded by Baldi and Francesca Alotta for Baldi's album Il Sole (1993). The song was translated into Spanish by Ignacio Ballesteros at Anthony's request. Two versions of the song were produced for On the 6; one as a ballad and the other as a salsa. The ballad version was produced by Dan Shea, while the salsa version was arranged and produced by Juan Vicente Zambrano. The music video was directed by Kevin Bray and received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Short Form Music Video. It served as the encore during the couple's co-headlining tour in 2007.
Temptation is the seventh studio album by American singer Brenda K. Starr. It was released on March 26, 2002 on Sony Discos.
Todo a Su Tiempo is the second studio album by American recording artist Marc Anthony, released by RMM Records on May 31, 1995. The album was produced by Sergio George, who was also involved with production of Anthony's debut studio album, Otra Nota. The album comprises five new compositions, three of which were written by Omar Alfanno, and four cover versions. Eight singles were released from the album, all but one of which topped the Billboard Tropical Songs chart.
Hasta el Fin is Monchy & Alexandra's third studio released album under the Sony International Label, which was released on October 19, 2004.
The Mix is Monchy & Alexandra's first remix album. It was released on June 10, 2003 under the Sony International label. The album contains music previously released by the artistic duo. The songs however have been mixed to fit other Latino musical genres, such as reggaeton, as well as European musical genres as techno. It also included the song "Polo Opuesto" which was used as the single to promote the album as it was the only song at the time to not be featured in previous albums. The song peaked at number 7 Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
Confesiones is Monchy & Alexandra's second studio album. It was released on March 12, 2002.
"Te Regalo Amores" (English: I'll Give You Love) is a song by Puerto Rican reggaeton duo R.K.M & Ken-Y from their second studio album The Royalty: La Realeza (2008). It was written by Jose Nieves and Kenny Vazquez, produced by Los Magnificos, Mambo Kings, and Janet Santiago and released as the second single from the album on August 26, 2008. A remix version with Ivy Queen was recorded and also included on the album. The song is a mixture of Cumbia and Merengue to create a lighter Latin pop sound.
"El Amor" is a song by Puerto Rican singer Tito El Bambino. It was composed by Tito and Joan Ortiz and released on February 9, 2009, as the second single from his third studio album, El Patrón (2009). The song blends the sounds of Latin pop with cumbia and merengue. A regional Mexican and a salsa version were recorded and included on the special edition of the album.
Éxitos y Más is a greatest hits album by Monchy y Alexandra. The album consists of songs from all of their albums including three new songs: "No Es Una Novela", "Corazón Prendido", and "Te Regalo". The album was released on DualDisc.

"Ella Lo Que Quiere Es Salsa" is a song by Puerto Rican-American recording artist Victor Manuelle featuring Voltio and Jowell & Randy. It was composed by himself and released on January 21, 2012, as the second single off his thirteenth studio album Busco un Pueblo. An urban version was also recorded and later released on May 28, 2012. The song became his twenty-first number one single on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart which led to Manuelle becoming the artist with the most number-one singles on the chart. It was also a minor success peaking on the Billboard Latin Songs and Billboard Latin Pop Songs charts at number 29 and 33 respectively. It received positive reviews from critics praising the music in the song. A music video was released on July 5, 2012, which was directed by Steven Tapia.

The album includes tracks recorded by several artists from the bachata genre, such as Aventura, Ivy Queen, R.K.M. & Ken-Y, Jayco, Watson Brazoban, José Feliciano, Monchy & Alexandra, Frank Reyes, El Chaval de la Bachata, Zacarías Ferreíra, Daniel Monción, Fanny Lu, Toby Love and Xtreme, featuring content dating back to 2004.

"Ese Hombre" is a song written by Ana Magdalena and Manuel Alejandro and performed by Spanish recording artist Rocío Jurado for her studio album Señora (1979). It was released by RCA Records as a B-side to "Señora" in 1980. Lyrically, the song is about a womanizer who lures women into a wrongful relationship filled with lies and deceit.
