Lying within the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and Angeles National Forest, it is the high point of the range, the county, and the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Mount San Antonio's sometimes snow-capped peaks are visible on clear days and dominate the view of the Los Angeles Basin skyline. The summit and a subsidiary peak to the west form a double-peaked high point of a steep-sided east-west ridge. The summit is accessible via a number of connecting ridges along hiking trails from the north, east, south and southwest.

Mount Baldy Zen Center (MBZC) is a Rinzai Zen monastery of the Nyorai-nyokyo sect, located in the San Gabriel Mountains of the Angeles National Forest region on 4.5 acres (18,000 m2) and founded in 1971 by Kyozan Joshu Sasaki. The monastery — once a Boy Scout camp — became famous when musician Leonard Cohen joined the community in 1994. The monastery served as residence for Sasaki, and is the training center for monastics in his lineage. Other centers in Sasaki's network, including Rinzai-ji, offer the opportunity to practice Zen to laypeople in the lineage. Sasaki died in 2014 at the age of 107.

Baldy Bowl Fluvial cirque in Los Angeles County, California, United States

Baldy Bowl is a fluvial cirque, in the San Gabriel Mountains of the U.S. state of California, that forms much of the upper south face of Mount San Antonio. It is one of the most visited backcountry locales in the San Gabriels, and is popular with skiers, hikers, and climbers. It has a base elevation of around 8,200 ft (2,500 m).

Baldy Mesa is a summit whose tallest peaks on its southern extremity, overlook the upper Cajon Canyon in San Bernardino County, California. Its tallest point is an unnamed 4,964 foot high hill on the southwest end of the mesa overlooking the upper Cajon Canyon. The heights that lie along the ridge overlooking the canyon toward the east gradually descend in elevation from one approximately 4,770 feet to the 4,606 foot hill at its far southeastern end at 34°21′34″N117°28′39″W. The mesa descends gradually in elevation to the north, toward the distant Mohave River. it is bounded on the east by the Oro Grande Wash.
