The University of Florida Campus Historic District is a historic district on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. The district, bounded by West University Avenue, Southwest 13th Street, Stadium Road and Gale Lemerand Drive, encompasses approximately 650 acres (2.6 km2) and contains 11 listed buildings plus contributing properties. On April 20, 1989, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. On June 24, 2008, additional information was approved which resulted in the addition of 6 contributing properties
Police Station Five was a historic police station in the West End neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Constructed in the 1890s to serve both regular police and the city's patrol service, it was named a historic site in the late twentieth century, but historic designation was unable to save it from destruction.
John Rudolph Niernsee was an American architect. He served as the head architect for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Rudolph also largely contributed to the design and construction of the South Carolina State House located in Columbia, South Carolina. Along with his partner, James Crawford Neilson, Rudolph established the standard for professional design and construction of public works projects within Baltimore and across different states in the United States.
George Washington's Gristmill was part of the original Mount Vernon plantation, constructed during the lifetime of the United States' first president. The original structure was destroyed about 1850. The Commonwealth of Virginia and the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association have reconstructed the gristmill and the adjacent distillery. The reconstructed buildings are located at their original site three miles (5 km) west of Mount Vernon proper near Woodlawn Plantation in Alexandria, Virginia. Because the reconstructed buildings embody the distinctive characteristics of late eighteenth century methods of production and are of importance to the history of Virginia, the site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places despite the fact that the buildings are not original.
Vancroft, also known as Mt. St. George Historic District, is a historic home and national historic district located near Wellsburg, Brooke County, West Virginia. It encompasses 10 contributing buildings, one contributing structure, and one contributing object associated with the manor house. The manor house was designed by Alden & Harlow in 1901, for steel magnate Joseph B. Vandergrift. It is a Shingle Style dwelling with broad gable roofs, a rough stone turret, and stone chimney. Also on the property are a pergola, a club house or retreat house, spring house, race track, grotto, farm manager's house, two farm laborer's residences, mill, barn, and "the Apple House." The property was purchased by the Catholic Knights of St. George and operated as a home for the aged. In 1998, it was purchased by the Catholic Knights of America.

Downtown Huntington Historic District is a national historic district located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. The original district encompassed 59 contributing buildings; the boundary increase added 53 more contributing buildings. It includes the central business district of Huntington, and includes several of its municipal and governmental buildings. It contains the majority of the historic concentration of downtown commercial buildings. Notable buildings include the Huntington City Hall, Johnson Memorial Church (c.1886/1912/1935), Trinity Episcopal Church (1882), Davis Opera House, Love Hardware Building, Reuschleins Jewelry building (1923), the Newcomb Building, the Morrison Building (1919), Keith-Albee Theater (1928), West Virginia Building, and Gideon Building. Located in the district are the separately listed Carnegie Public Library, Cabell County Courthouse, U.S. Post Office and Court House, and Campbell-Hicks House.
North River Mills Historic District is a national historic district located at North River Mills, Hampshire County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 25 contributing buildings and five contributing sites. The district lies along Hiett Run, which empties into the North River, a tributary of the Cacapon River. It has become an industrial ghost town, now visited only by summer residents and tourists. The contributing buildings include the Hiett House with shed and privy; Croston House and barn ; North River Mills Grocery ; Shanholtz House, also known as North River Mills Society for Antiquarian Arts and the Diffusion of Knowledge; North River Mills School ; Miller House and associated outbuildings; United Methodist Church ; Kump House ; and the Moreland House. Contributing sites are the cemetery associated with the Kump House, Miller Mill Site, Shanholtz Mill Site, mill pond, and millrace.
Jackson's Mill State 4-H Camp Historic District, also known as West Virginia University Jackson's Mill, is a historic 4-H camp and national historic district near Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia. The district includes 23 contributing buildings, 4 contributing sites, 4 contributing structures, and 2 contributing objects. The camp was established in 1921 as the first statewide 4-H camp in the United States. The district includes buildings related to the site's inception as a homestead and agricultural area as well as its current manifestation as a youth camp facility and conference center.
Bluefield Downtown Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia. The district includes 73 contributing buildings in Bluefield's central business district. The buildings are primarily three and four story masonry commercial buildings. Notable buildings include The Shamrock Restaurant (1885), People's Bank (1895), the Art Deco / Moderne style Colonial Theatre and Appalachian Power Company building, Law and Commerce Building, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Building, First Christian Church (1920), Elizabeth Kee Federal Building and Post Office (1911), Bluefield Sanatorium, and West Virginia Hotel (1923) designed by Alex B. Mahood. Located in the district is the separately listed Municipal Building.
The Downtown Morgantown Historic District is a federally designated historic district in Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. The district, encompassing approximately 75 acres, has 122 contributing buildings and 2 contributing sites including commercial and public buildings, residences, and churches. The district has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 2, 1996. Ten of the contributing buildings are listed separately on the National Register of Historic Places. Significant structures located within the historic district are the Monongalia County Courthouse, the Metropolitan Theater, and the Old Morgantown Post Office.
Mount Saint Joseph, also known as Holloway Estate, is a historic house and motherhouse located near Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The Holloway House was built in 1854, with two additions dated to the 1920s. The original farmhouse is two stories and measures 35 feet by 45 feet. The 1920s additions include one with a garage and apartment above, and an "L"-shaped addition which became the main living quarters. Located on the property is an immense, three winged structure built as the motherhouse for the Sisters of St. Joseph. It is a Modern building built in 1954–1956. Also on the property are a contributing cold storage building, spring house, and bathhouse.
East Wheeling Historic District is a national historic district located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 300 contributing buildings and one contributing site, including the Monroe Street East Historic District. The district is primarily residential, developed in the late-19th and early-20th century. A number of popular architectural styles are represented including Greek Revival and Gothic Revival. Notable non-residential buildings include St. Joseph Cathedral (1926), former Hazel Atlas Company building, Scottish Rite Temple designed by noted Wheeling architect Frederick F. Faris (1870-1927), Elks Building, and YMCA (1906), also designed by Faris. The contributing site is Elk Playground. Also located in the district are the separately listed L. S. Good House, Charles W. Russell House, and Cathedral Parish School.
Woodsdale–Edgewood Neighborhood Historic District is a national historic district located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 969 contributing buildings and is primarily residential, developed between 1888 and 1945. A number of popular architectural styles are represented including Shingle Style, Queen Anne, Tudor Revival, American Foursquare, Colonial Revival and Bungalow style. The district also includes four Lustron houses. Notable non-residential buildings include the Edgwood Christian Mission Alliance Church (1932), St. John's Episcopal Chapel (1913), Mount Carmel Monastery (1915) designed by Frederick F. Faris (1870-1927), and Good Shepherd Home (1912). Also located in the district are the separately listed H. C. Ogden House and William Miles Tiernan House.
Wheeling Historic District, also known as the Wheeling Central Business District, is a national historic district located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district includes 205 contributing buildings in the central business district of Wheeling. It includes the site of the original location of Fort Henry. The buildings are representative of a number of popular architectural styles from the early-19th century through the present including Greek Revival and Late Victorian. The District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Charlottesville and Albemarle County Courthouse Historic District, also known as the Charlottesville Historic District is a national historic district located at Charlottesville, Virginia. The district encompasses the previously listed Albemarle County Courthouse Historic District and includes 269 contributing buildings and 1 contributing object in the city of Charlottesville. It includes the traditional heart of the city's commercial, civic, and religious activities, with early residential development and industrial sites located along the fringe. The commercial core is located along a seven block Downtown Mall designed by Lawrence Halprin (1916-2009). Notable buildings include the Albemarle County Courthouse, Levy Opera House, Number Nothing, Redland Club, Eagle Tavern, United States Post Office and Courts Building (1906), Christ (Episcopal) Church (1895-1898), Beth Israel Synagogue (1882-1903), Holy Comforter Catholic Church (1925), First Methodist Church (1924), McIntire Public Library (1919-1922), and Virginia National Bank (1916). Also located in the district are the separately listed Abell-Gleason House, William H. McGuffey Primary School, Thomas Jonathan Jackson sculpture, Robert Edward Lee sculpture, and Marshall-Rucker-Smith House.
The West Broad Street Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Richmond, Virginia. The district encompasses 20 contributing buildings built between about 1900 and the late 1930s. Located in the district is the Forbes Motor Car Company (1919), Harper-Overland Company building (1921), Firestone Building (1929), Engine Company No. 10 Firehouse, and the Saunders Station Post Office (1937). The majority of the buildings are two-to-four stories in height and are composed of brick with stucco, stone and metal detailing. Located in the district is the separately listed The Coliseum-Duplex Envelope Company Building.
Southern Stove Works, Manchester is a historic factory complex located in Richmond, Virginia that replaced the company's original factory. The complex includes two contributing prefabricated steel frame buildings built in 1920. The west building contains the original two-story office building that has been connected by one-story infill to the long one-story warehouse building that contained the pressing and mounting departments and a three-part warehouse. The office is a five-by-three-bay, two-story, building measuring 40 by 80 feet and brick curtain walls. The east building today consists of the foundry with attached original washrooms and office, charging room, and an expanded mill room.
The West Pleasant Street Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Maquoketa, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. At the time of its nomination it contained 50 resources, which included 29 contributing buildings, 21 non-contributing buildings, and one non-contributing site. The historic district is primarily a residential area that was built during Maquoketa's "Boom Years" (1873-1899) and the "Comfortable Years" (1900-1922). The first house built in the district was in 1863 and the last was in 1914. This is where many of the city's business and professional leaders choose to build their houses. Most of the 28 houses were probably not designed by an architect, but were crafted in the "High Style" of the time by local builders. With the exception of Greek Revival, all the major styles of the period built in Maquoketa are found here. Eight of the houses and one of the three remaining carriage houses are brick structures; the rest are wood.
