Sardar Muahmmad Tanveer Ilyas Khan is a Pakistani businessman-turned-politician who was the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir from April 2022 to April 2023,and was the president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Kashmir from September 2021 to April 2023. [1]
He was born in the village of Bangoin near Rawalakot,Azad Kashmir,into a political family,as his late uncle Sardar Sagheer Chughtai has been elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from their native constituency. [2]
He is the owner of The Centaurus and Taj Residencia housing project the largest shopping mall in Islamabad. [3]
He has served as advisor on investment to the Chief Minister of Punjab. [2]
He was elected to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from LA-15 Bagh-II as a candidate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the 2021 Azad Kashmiri general election. He received 19,825 votes and defeated Sardar Ziaul Qamar,a candidate of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP). [4]
On 18 April 2022,Ilyas was elected as the 14th Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir,succeeding Abdul Qayyum Khan Niazi,who resigned after the PTI initiated a vote of no confidence against the latter. [5]
On 11 April 2023,Ilyas was disqualified from being a member of the legislative assembly when he was found guilty of contempt of court by the High Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Thus,he ceased to hold the office of the AJK prime minister. [6] [7]
Sardar Muhammad Sayab Khalid Khan was a Pakistani politician. He was the Speaker of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly from 24 July 2001 through 24 July 2006,and visited different countries lobbying for the Kashmir issue.

Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan is a politician who served as the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Gilgit-Baltistan from May 2022 to December 2023 and as the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan,a territory in Northern Pakistan until he was disqualified from his post on 4 July 2023 by the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court. Local government elections were held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on 27 November,3 December 2022 and 8 December 2022 in three phases. These local government elections were the first ones in more than three decades. The results were declared for each of the three phases on their respective voting days. The elections will be held under the supervision of Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He succeeded the former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas,who was disqualified by the High Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for contempt of court.

Kausar Taqdees Gillani is an Azad Kasmir politician,who is a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). She was elected to the 10th Legislative Assembly of Azad Kashmir on 25 July 2021,taking one of the assembly seats reserved for women. Two other women members of PTI were also elected:Begum Imtiaz Naseem and Sabiha Khatoon. On 23 November 2023 Gillani was sworn in as Minister for Azad Kashmir Small industries Co-operation,Travel and Trade Authority. She is a former chair of the Pakistan Business Forum's Azad Jammu Kashmir Chapter.
