The University of Jyväskylä is a research university in Jyväskylä, Finland. It has its origins in the first Finnish-speaking Teacher Training College, founded in 1863. Around 14,000 students are currently enrolled in the degree programs of the university.

It was the only Urdu university in India until the second university was built in the city of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh in 2015.

The university, presided by Hugues Kenfack, focuses on social sciences, law, political science, economics and administration. An active member of the federal University of Toulouse, it became an experimental public institution on January 1, 2023.
