Zambia, officially the Republic of Zambia, is a landlocked country at the crossroads of Central, Southern and East Africa. It is typically referred to being in South-Central Africa or Southern Africa. It is bordered to the north by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania to the north-east, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south, Namibia to the southwest, and Angola to the west. The capital city of Zambia is Lusaka, located in the south-central part of Zambia. The population is concentrated mainly around Lusaka in the south and the Copperbelt Province to the north, the core economic hubs of the country.

The University of Botswana (UB) was established in 1982, as the first institution of higher education in Botswana. The university currently has three campuses: one in the capital city Gaborone, one in Francistown, and another in Maun. It is a private higher education institution, established in 1995 as a post-apartheid empowerment institution, offering affordable and accessible management education primarily to persons previously denied access to postgraduate education. In 2017, it joined Honoris United Universities. From 2002, MANCOSA publishers the Journal of Management & Administration.
Damelin is a private college founded in 1943 by Benjamin Damelin. It has 9 campuses in South Africa and is owned by Educor group. Damelin offers degrees, diplomas and other higher qualifications, but is considered a college instead of a university due to the regulations for tertiary institutions in South Africa. Damelin is the oldest and most profitable education subsidiary owned by Educor. By November 2012, over one million students had graduated from Damelin. In March 2024 it was deregistered for non-compliance along with other institutions under the Educor umbrella, CityVarsity, Intec and Lyceum College. The group has been accused by the Minister of Higher Education and Training of "unethical conduct, dysfunctional practices, bribery and other elements of corruption."
St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) is a private university in Mwanza, Tanzania. It was founded by the Catholic Bishops of Tanzania in 1998 as a secular, nonprofit, private institution. Before 1998, SAUT was called first Nyegezi Social Training Centre and then Nyegezi Social Training Institute. SAUT has over 10,000 students with an anticipated minimal rise each new academic year. The university attracts students from Tanzania and elsewhere, particularly Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, Malawi, Zambia, and recently Germany and other foreign nations. SAUT admits students of all nationalities and religious affiliations.

University of Lusaka (UNILUS) is a private university founded in 2007 in Lusaka, Zambia. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
A massive open online course or an open online course is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the Web. In addition to traditional course materials, such as filmed lectures, readings, and problem sets, many MOOCs provide interactive courses with user forums or social media discussions to support community interactions among students, professors, and teaching assistants (TAs), as well as immediate feedback to quick quizzes and assignments. DMI–St. Eugene university is a multi-campus private university in Zambia, that is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lusaka. The university is administered by the Daughters of Mary Immaculate.

Chreso University (CU) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Lusaka, Zambia. Established in 2010, this institution also has a branch campus in Ndola. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education of Zambia, Chreso University (CU) is a small coeducational Zambian higher education institution. Chreso University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic records. The admission rate range is 50-60% making this Zambian higher education organization a averagely selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. CU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
Atlantic Technological University is a technological university in the west and north-west of Ireland. It was formally established on 1 April 2022 as a merger of three existing institutes of technology (ITs) – Galway-Mayo IT, IT Sligo, and Letterkenny IT – into a single university, the fourth such TU in Ireland.
