NS Matrix Deers, simply known as NS Matrix, are a Malaysian men's professional basketball club based in Seremban. [2] Founded in 2015, the Deers currently play in the Major Basketball League Malaysia (MLB) and the Basketball Champions League Asia, and formerly in the ASEAN Basketball League.

History

The Negeri Sembilan (NS) Matrix basketball team was established in 2015 and is owned by the Matrix Holding Concept Bhd. It was a frequent participant of the Agong Cup. With its roster having players from the Malaysian national team, they are a four-time Agong Cup champions. [2] [3] The club also has a women's team. [4]

NS Matrix is among the six teams of the inaugural season of the Major Basketball League (MBL) of Malaysia in 2022. [5]

They also joined the ASEAN Basketball League and made their debut in the 2023 season. [6]

The 2023 ABL Invitational was an invitational tournament to signify the return of the ASEAN Basketball League. The elimination round tipped off on 2 January in Singapore, before moving to 3 other host countries. The tournament ended with the finals played from 3 to 15 March. The 2023 Invitational featured eight teams from the region.

Jeff Alvin Dumelod Viernes is a Filipino professional basketball player and coach. He plays for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
