The 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia will be the first edition of the Basketball Champions League Asia, and the 29th season of the continent's top club competition. The tournament was previously known as the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, and was last held in 2019. [1] The main tournament is scheduled to take place at Dubai, UAE in 9 until 15 June 2024. It is organized by the UAE Basketball Association and Shabab Al Ahli Club and sanctioned by FIBA Asia. [2] [3]

Qualification

The domestic champions of China, Japan, Philippines, and South Korea qualify directly, [4] however the Philippine Basketball Association has opted out of this tournament. It remains unknown if the Philippine national basketball federation, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, will send another team like in 2017 when it sent their national team to compete under the club name "Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas". [5]

Two additional teams will qualify through a two-round qualification tournament for East and Southeast Asia, while the further two will be determined through the 2023–24 FIBA West Asia Super League. [6]

The first round of the qualification will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 3 to 7 April. [7] The second round will take place from 23 to 26 April in Jakarta, Indonesia. [8]
