The 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup will be the 34th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament will be hosted at the Singapore Indoor Stadium for a second consecutive year under a three-year agreement with the Singaporean government. It is the second time the tournament is hosted in Asia. [1] For the first time in competition history, a team from Oceania is included and five continents represented. [2]

Franca were the defending champions but will not be able to defend their title as they were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 2023–24 BCL Americas season.

During the tournament, the FIBA Hall of Fame will have its induction ceremony. [3]

Quimsa from Argentina was the first team to qualify for the Intercontinental Cup on 14 April. [4] Unicaja from Spain, Petro de Luanda from Angola, will represent Europe, Africa, respectively. Al Riyadi qualified as the champions of the Basketball Champions League Asia, as the first team to qualify through the competition. [5] The NBA G League will send a team of selected players, named "NBA G League United", as the previous representing team, the NBA G League Ignite, was dissolved earlier in the year. [3] [6] The Tasmania JackJumpers, as winners of the NBL, became the first team ever from Oceania to be included in the competition, excluding the St. Kilda Saints who played 43 years earlier in the 1981 Club World Cup. Notes

The 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup was the 33rd edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament was hosted in the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. It was the first time Singapore hosted the tournament, as well as the first time the tournament is being held in Asia.

The 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia was the first edition of the Basketball Champions League Asia, and the 29th season of the continent's top club competition. The tournament was previously known as the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, and was last held in 2019. The main tournament was scheduled to take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was organized by the UAE Basketball Association and Shabab Al Ahli Club.

The 2024 BCL Americas Final was the final game of the 2023–24 BCL Americas, the 5th season of the league under its new entity and the 17th of the Pan-American premier basketball league organised by FIBA. It was played at the Estadio Ciudad de Santiago del Estero in Santiago del Estero on 14 April 2024. The game was played between Brazilian club Flamengo and the Argentinean club Quimsa.
