NTPC Rajgarh Solar Power Plant is a photovoltaic power station in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh.

History

The 50 MW solar power plant is built by the National Thermal Power Corporation. [1] The first phase of 20 MW went online in 2014 [2] [3] and remaining plant became completely operational in 2018. [4]

NTPC Kanti also known as George Fernandes Thermal Power Plant Station is located in Kanti, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. George Fernandes was former Member of Parliament from Muzaffarpur constituency of Bihar. It is wholly owned subsidiary company of NTPC. The share of the company is 100% of the NTPC. The plant was not functional between 2003 and 2013; however, renovation of both older units paved the way for commercial production of electricity by the end of 2013.

BSEB was established in 1958 as a statutory corporation under the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948. As of November 2012, BSEB has nearly 1,700 officers and 14,850 employees. The derated capacity comes to just 530 MW. The BSEB was unbundled on 2 August 2011. Power Finance Corporation was the main consultant for BSEB's restructuring.

Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park in Andhra Pradesh is a solar park spread over a total area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi) in Panyam mandal of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, with a capacity of 1000 MW. It was inaugurated by then chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu in 2019 The park was built at an investment of around 70 billion (US$840 million) by solar power developers and the Central and State governments. Solar power developers invested 10 billion (US$120 million), while the remaining 60 billion (US$720 million) was funded by APSPCL supported by a 2 billion (US$24 million) grant from the Union Government.
