Nahr-e Shir (Persian : نهرشير‎, also Romanized as Nahr-e Shīr; also known as Nahr-e Shīr-e Kiskan)^[1] is a village in Kiskan Rural District, in the Central District of Baft County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 35, in 12 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Kiskan Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Baft County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,472, in 720 families. The rural district has 34 villages.

The Central District of Baft County is a district (bakhsh) in Baft County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 68,270, in 16,394 families; excluding those portions, the population in 2006 was 64,743, in 15,520 families. The District has two cities: Baft and Bezenjan. The District has six rural districts (dehestan): Bezenjan Rural District, Dashtab Rural District, Fathabad Rural District, Gughar Rural District, Khabar Rural District, and Kiskan Rural District.
