    The Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball program represents the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. The school's team competes in NCAA Division I as part of the Big 12 Conference. The Bearcats are currently coached by Wes Miller.

    The 2010 America East men's basketball tournament was held from March 4–7 at Chase Arena on the University of Hartford campus. The final was held at Patrick Gym in Burlington, VT on March 13. As winners, the Vermont Catamounts won an automatic berth to the 2010 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament for the fourth time as a member of the America East conference, and first since 2005. Vermont was given the 16th seed in the West Regional of the NCAA Tournament and faced the #1 seed Syracuse Orange in a game played on March 19. As winners of the regular season championship the Stony Brook claimed an automatic berth to the 2010 National Invitation Tournament, seeded at #8, the Seawolves took on #1 seeded Illinois Fighting Illini at home on March 17. The Boston University also gained a bid to the 2010 CBI, were given the #4 seed in the West Region, and faced the Oregon State Beavers on March 17 in Corvallis, OR.

    The Milwaukee Panthers men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Horizon League for the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. They play their home games at UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and are currently coached by Bart Lundy.

    The Binghamton University basketball scandal refers to a series of incidents that occurred as Binghamton University compromised its integrity in order to make the Bearcats men's basketball program more competitive in Division I. Numerous Binghamton players were arrested and dismissed from the team in the fall of 2009, continuing a troubling trend of misconduct from basketball players at the university. The arrests led to an investigation by the State University of New York (SUNY), Binghamton's parent institution, which found that Binghamton's administration had significantly lowered its admissions standards for prospective recruits under pressure from men's head coach Kevin Broadus and his staff. It also detailed several potential NCAA violations by Broadus and his staff. Numerous Binghamton professors admitted to academic fraud, having changed grades for basketball players upon pressure from members of the athletic department.

    The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team represents Binghamton University and is located in Vestal, New York. The team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at the Binghamton University Events Center. Since becoming an NCAA Division I basketball program in 2001, the team has played in one NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2009.

    Greg Scruggs is a defensive line coach for the Wisconsin Badgers. Most recently he was the assistant defensive line coach for New York Jets. Scruggs is a former American football defensive end/tight end. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisville.

    The 2005–06 Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team represented the University of Cincinnati during the 2005–06 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team played its home games in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Fifth Third Arena, which has a capacity of 13,176. They are members of the Big East Conference and were led by first-year head coach Andy Kennedy after the resignation of longtime coach Bob Huggins. The Bearcats finished the season 23–13, 8–8 in Big East play.
