National Aviation Services (NAS) is an aviation services provider headquartered in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The company currently operates at 55 airports through emerging markets countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. [3] [4] [5]
NAS was founded in 2003, [6] [7] starting with one airline customer at Kuwait International Airport. As of 2006, NAS began its first operations outside of Kuwait in Aqaba, [2] [8] before starting its operations in India and Sudan in 2010, Ivory Coast in 2015 and Morocco in 2016. [9] In 2008, NAS received IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO). [10]
In 2017, NAS acquired Entebbe Handling Services (ENHAS) and rebranded it to National Aviation Services Uganda. [11] In the same year, NAS started operations in Liberia followed by DRC, Iraq, Italy and Guinea Bissau in 2020. [11] [12] [13]
April 2021, NAS entered into an agreement with Bidvest Group Limited to acquire BidAir Services for an undisclosed amount and completed the deal in June 2021. [14] [15] [16]
In October 2021, NAS acquired 51% equity interest in Siginon Aviation an aviation cargo management and ground handling, and a subsidiary of Siginon Group of Kenya for $40 million as a result, NAS took over management in Siginon Aviation. [17] [18]
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, is an international airport serving Nairobi, the capital and largest city of Kenya. The other three important international airports in Kenya include Kisumu International Airport, Moi International Airport and Eldoret International Airport. JKIA is located in the Embakasi suburb 18 kilometres (11 mi) southeast of Nairobi's central business district, the airport has scheduled flights to destinations in over 50 countries. Originally named Embakasi Airport, the airport's name was changed in 1978 after Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya's first President and Prime Minister. The airport served over 7 million passengers in 2016, making it the seventh busiest airport in passenger traffic on the continent.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is an international airport serving Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). It is the second busiest airport in the country in terms of total and international passenger traffic after Delhi, and was the 14th busiest airport in Asia and 41st busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic in fiscal year 2019. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, is an international airport that serves Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. Established in 1932, it is the first airport in the state of Kerala and the fifth international airport of India, officially declared in 1991. It is the operating base of Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo and SpiceJet. Spread over an area of 700 acres (280 ha), the airport is approximately 3.7 km (2.3 mi) due west from the city centre and the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, 16 km (9.9 mi) from Kovalam beach, 13 km (8.1 mi) from Technopark and 21 km (13 mi) from the under-construction Vizhinjam International Seaport. It shares a visible proximity to Shankumugham Beach making it the nearest airport to a sea in India, just about 0.6 miles away from the sea.

It is the largest ground handling company at Entebbe International Airport (IATA: EBB, ICAO: HUEN), Uganda's largest civilian and military airport, where it serviced at least 19 airlines, as of November 2017. As of August 2023, MAU handled an estimated 80 percent of the cargo that went through Entebbe Airport.
