National League Cricket was an annual cricket tournament held in Nepal. It was administered by the Cricket Association of Nepal.
The first organized league cricket in Nepal was held in 2002 as Birendra Memorial National League Cricket. Due to heavy rain, the final game set on 18 May between Biratnagar and Bhairahawa had to be cancelled and winners were declared on the basis of net run rate achieved before the final match. Biratnagar won the trophy with a run rate of +1.33 compared to +1.023 of Bhairahawa. The initial tournament was sponsored by Carlsberg.
In 2007, CAN signed sponsorship deals with Surya Nepal’s Shikhar Filter Kings, John Players and Standard Chartered Bank as the major sponsors of the revised national league and the national team for 5 years worth रु 20 Lakhs. [1]
In 2008, the league was sponsored by Surya Nepal under the name of Springwood One Day National League held from March 28 to April 7. [2] The event had all teams competing in round-robin league rather than in groups of three as used in past. In 2009, the league was sponsored by Pepsi and Standard Chartered Bank and the tournaments were held under the name Pepsi Standard Chartered National One Day and Twenty20 Cricket Tournament for the next five years. [3] From the year 2011, two new departmental teams, the APF cricket team and Nepal Police cricket team joined the league. APF won the league in their first attempt. [4] Nepal Police lost to APF in the one-day tournament but they won the Twenty20 tournament by defeating APF. [5] Nepal Army cricket team joined the league in 2013. They also won the Twenty20 tournament in their first attempt. [6] Nepal Police participated in the league only in 2011.
The 2015 edition of the tournament was solely sponsored by CAN itself as previous sponsors, Pepsi and Standard Chartered Bank's agreement ran out earlier that year. [7]

In May 2010, 18 members of the national cricket team held a press conference and said they will not play the national league because of the behavior of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). However, they said they would continue their closed-camp training for 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Four. [11]
Players boycotted the national one-day cricket championship for the second time in April 2014 in protest against the leadership of CAN and ignorance of players' needs. [12]

Prithu Baskota is a Nepalese cricketer. All-rounder Prithu is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. He made his debut for Nepal against Maldives in November 2010.
The 2014 Nepal Premier League was the first season of the Nepal Premier League. The event was organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal and managed by Zohra Sports Management. It was organised between May and June 2014 and consisted of a One Day tournament played in round-robin format followed by semi-finals and finals between the top four teams. Initially, the 2014 NPL was also supposed to include Twenty20 & Two Day tournaments but were later called off. Two-day tournament was called off by the organising committee due to bad weather conditions in the allocated venues amongst other reasons. Due to tight international schedule, ZSM was unable to complete the Twenty20 event, while telecommunication giants Ncell had also pulled out their sponsorship from the tournament. The Twenty20 & Two Day tournaments are expected to be included from the 2015 season onwards.
Sudur Pashchimanchal Academy Cup was a national level inter college cricket tournament in Nepal. Also known as Hotel Devotee SPA Cup, the matches of the tournament is played under Twenty20 format. It was the biggest cash prize cricket tournament in Nepal. The first edition of the tournament was held in 2010.
Siddhant Lohani is a Nepalese cricketer. Lohani is a right-handed batsman and a leg break bowler. He made his debut for Nepal against Jersey in July 2015.
Birat Gold Cup is an annual football tournament held in Biratnagar, the second largest metropolitan city of Nepal. It has been held at the Sahid Rangsala stadium in Biratnagar, Morang, Nepal every year since 2012 A.D. The event witnesses participation from several national and international teams, and is amongst the most sought after football tournament of the nation.
The 2017 Everest Premier League, also abbreviated as 2017 EPL, and branded as TVS EPL 2017 was the second edition of the Everest Premier League, a professional men's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Nepal. The tournament was scheduled to be held from 18 December 2017 to 30 December 2017. The tournament featured six teams and their names were based on the cities.
The 2021 Everest Premier League, also known as EPL4 or Bajaj Pulsar EPL for sponsorship reasons, was the fourth edition of the Everest Premier League, a professional men's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Nepal. The event was initially scheduled for December 2019, before being postponed multiple times. Lalitpur Patriots were the defending champions, having won their first title in 2018, but were eliminated in the group stage after finishing fifth.
Kathmandu Kings XI are a professional franchise cricket team based in the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. They have played in the Everest Premier League since 2017.
Bhairahawa Gladiators is a professional cricket franchise team based in Bhairahawa city, Nepal which participates in the Everest Premier League. Under the leadership of captain Sharad Vesawkar, they reached the finals of 2017 and 2018 edition of the league which they lost to Biratnagar Warriors and Lalitpur Patriots by 1 and 14 runs respectively.
The 2021 National Women's League, also known as Deputy Mayor National Women's League was the 2021 edition of the first-tier women's club football competition in Nepal organized by the All Nepal Football Association. The season started on 21 January. It was the first season since 2017/18, as the 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal. APF Club was crowned champions on 17 February 2021.
