Gandaki Province cricket team, (formerly known as Province No. 4 cricket team) and also known as Team Gandaki is a Nepali provincial cricket team, based in the Gandaki Province of Nepal. Bagmati Province is one of the seven provinces of Nepal established by the constitution of Nepal. Bagmati is Nepal's second-most populous province and fifth largest province by area. It is bordered by Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Gandaki Province to the west, Koshi Province to the east, Madhesh Province and the Indian state of Bihar to the south. Surendra Raj Pandey is the present chief minister of Gandaki Province.

The 2021 Prime Minister Cup was the fourth edition of the Prime Minister One Day Cup, the premier one-day cricket tournament in Nepal. The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven Provinces of Nepal as well as three departmental teams. It began on 15 January 2021 and ended on 30 January 2021. All matches of the tournament were broadcast live by DishHome's "Action Sports" channel. Nepal Police Club were the defending champions, but were eliminated at the semi-final stage by Armed Police Force Club. Tribhuwan Army Club won the title following a 33-run win over APF Club in the final.

Surendra Raj Pandey is a Nepalese politician belonging to Nepali Congress. He is the current chief minister of Gandaki Province and was appointed to the post on May 29, 2024. Pandey is the Parliamentary Party leader of the Nepali Congress in the province and is member of from Gorkha 2(B). Pandey has previously served as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly. He is also the Central Working Committee member of Nepali Congress.
The first Gandaki Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 60 members were elected to the assembly, 36 of whom were elected through direct elections and 24 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Prithvi Subba Gurung from the CPN (UML) and Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel from the Nepali Congress served as chief ministers during the term of the assembly. Netra Nath Adhikari served as the speaker of the assembly and Srijana Sharma served as the deputy speaker.

The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven Provinces of Nepal as well as one departmental teams. It began on 21 December 2023 and end on 3 January 2024. The format was changed for the 2023–24 season, with the eight teams competing in a round-robin format with the top four advancing to the play-offs.
