The National Library of Rwanda Inkoranyabitabo in Kinyarwanda was founded in 1989 by the presidential order no 132/06 of March the 10th 1989 as a direction in Ministry of High Education and Research. It is located in the city of Kigali. It has a printed and digital collections. [1] The Rwanda Archives and Library Services Authority was established by the Law No 12/2014 of 09/05/2014. [2]

Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley of Central Africa, where the African Great Lakes region and Southeast Africa converge. The Bibliothèque nationale de France is the national library of France, located in Paris on two main sites known respectively as Richelieu and François-Mitterrand. It is the national repository of all that is published in France. The Bibliothèque nationale du Burkina Faso is the legal deposit and copyright library for Burkina Faso. It was established on November 6, 1996.

There are several libraries in Burundi. The National Library and archives is situated in Bujumbura. The University of Burundi library opened in 1981, and was formally dedicated in 1985. It had about 150,000 volumes in the early 1990s.

The National Library of Madagascar is the national library of Madagascar. It was established in 1961 and it is located in Antananarivo.

The National Library of Cameroon is the national library of Cameroon. It was established in 1966 and it is located in Yaoundé.

The National Library of Togo is the national library of Togo and is located in the capital, Lomé.

The Bibliothèque Nationale de Mauritanie is located in Nouakchott, Mauritania in the building of the National Museum of Mauritania. The library has a collection of 10,000 volumes and employs 41 staff members. The library has seven branches.

The National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco is located in Rabat, Morocco with a branch in Tetouan. The former Bibliothèque Générale was created in 1924. In 2003, it was renamed the "Bibliothèque nationale du Royaume du Maroc."

National Library of the Democratic Republic of Congo is located in Kinshasa and was established in 1974 as an office within Ministry of Culture and Arts. In 1989, it became autonomous under presidential order.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Polish Library in Paris</span>

The Polish Library in Paris is a Polish cultural centre of national importance and is closely associated both with the historic Great Emigration of the Polish élite to Paris in the 19th-century and the formation in 1832 of the Literary Society, later the Historical and Literary Society. The Library was founded in 1838 by Adam Jerzy Czartoryski, Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz and Karol Sienkiewicz, among others. Its first task was to safeguard all surviving books, documents, archives and treasures of national significance. It has become a historical and documentary resource open for the use of Poles and other researchers and visitors. The Library houses three museums related to significant Polish artists: the Salon Frédéric Chopin, the Adam Mickiewicz Museum and the Bolesław Biegas Art collection. UNESCO's Memory of the World Register rates it as an institution unique of its kind.

The Bibliothèque Africaine in Belgium is a research library of Africana. Belgian king Léopold II founded it in 1885 during the period of foreign colonization of the Congo and the establishment of the colonial Congo Free State. The library became the responsibility of the Ministry of the Colonies in 1908. As of 2003 it contained some 230,000 volumes. It is now part of the Bibliothèque des Affaires Etrangères, overseen by the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, and since June 2017, accessible through the Royal Library of Belgium in Brussels.
