National Library of Somaliland or Silanyo National Library is the national library of Somaliland. It is located in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, it is the first and largest national library in Somaliland. [1]

The Kulmiye Peace, Unity and Development Party, also known as simply Kulmiye, is a political party in Somaliland. The regions of Somaliland is divided into six administrative regions, Awdal, Sahil, Maroodi-Jeeh, Togdheer, Sanaag and Sool. These are in turn subdivided into twenty-two districts. Regions of Somaliland are the primary geographical divisions through which Somaliland is administered. A distinction is made between districts of grades A, B, C and D, with the classification being based on population, area, economy and production.

Presidential elections were held in Somaliland on 26 June 2010. The elections were originally scheduled for August 2008 and numerous delays, endangered political stability in the country. On 1 July 2010, the Somaliland National Election Commission announced that opposition candidate Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud had won the elections, defeating incumbent President Dahir Riyale Kahin.

Dr. Mohammad Abdullahi Omar is a Somalilander politician. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland. He was appointed to the position on July 28, 2010 by the region's incumbent President Ahmed Mahamoud Silanyo. Following a cabinet reshuffle on June 25, 2013, Omar was replaced as Foreign Minister by Mohamed Bihi Yonis. Omar subsequently served as Somaliland's Minister of Commerce until May 20, 2014, when he was dismissed from the position by presidential decree following an internal dispute over leadership succession within the ruling Peace, Unity, and Development Party (Kulmiye) party.

Ali Mohamed Yussuf, Arabic: علي محمد يوسف), more commonly known as Ali Guray is a Somaliland politician. He previously served as the Director of Somaliland's Ministry of Ports and Fishing. He was also the Chairman of the National Demobilization Commission (NDC). Ali Guray is now a member of the ruling Peace, Unity, and Development Party (Kulmiye) in Somaliland.

Ali Mohamed Warancadde is a Somali politician. He formerly served as the Minister of Interior of Somaliland in Silanyo's administration, he also served as the Minister of Civil Aviation of Somaliland in Riyale's administration.

Zamzam Abdi Aden is a Somali politician, who served as the Minister of Education and Science of Somaliland from July 2010 to February 2015, becoming the first female minister to hold this position. In February 2015, after a cabinet reshuffle she was appointed as Minister of Finance where she served until the end of Silanyo's administration. She was one of four ministers who served throughout Silanyo's administration from 2010 to 2017, along Saad Ali Shire, Mohamoud Hashi Abdi and Khalil Abdillahi Ahmed.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge</span> Somali politician

Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge Liibaan is a Somaliland politician and is the current Mayor of Hargeisa, the largest city and capital of Somaliland. He belongs to the Eidagale sub-division of the Garhajis Isaaq clan.

Ahmed Abdi Mohamud Sugulle "Habsade" is a Puntland and Somaliland politician. He was a decorated Colonel in the Somali Armed Forces and the second in command of the Somali Custodial Corps equivalent to that of the Italian Arma dei Carabinieri but the Custodial Corps fall under the Ministry of the Interior and are part of the Police Force. A politician and respected elder later in life (he was instrumental in the founding of Somaliland and became the Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives. In 1998, he was appointed Minister of the Interior of Puntland but was dismissed in 2007 after a conflict with Mohamud Muse Hersi, who became President of Puntland in 2006. In 2007, he brought Somaliland troops into Las Anod, leading to Somaliland's effective control of the Sool region. He served as various Somaliland Ministers of state from 2008. In 2014, Abdiweli Gaas became President of Puntland and he come back to Puntland.

Tuulo Samakaab or Tuula Samakaab is a village in the center Sool Region of Somaliland. It is located in the middle of the road connecting Aynaba and Las Anod, two of Somaliland's large cities. It is the starting point of the road connecting this road with the Buhoodle District.
