The blue monkey or diademed monkey is a species of Old World monkey native to Central and East Africa, ranging from the upper Congo River basin east to the East African Rift and south to northern Angola and Zambia. It sometimes includes Sykes', silver, and golden monkeys as subspecies.
Sphaerium is a genus of very small freshwater clams, aquatic bivalve molluscs in the family Sphaeriidae, known as the fingernail clams. The small clams in this genus are unusual in that many of them, such as Sphaerium corneum, can climb around underwater on aquatic plants, using their long and strong foot.
The Rwenzori double-collared sunbird, also called Stuhlmann's sunbird or the Rwanda double-collared sunbird, is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. It is found in the Ruwenzori range of mountains in south central Africa. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests. It is threatened by habitat loss. It is sometimes considered to be a subspecies of the greater double-collared sunbird. Some authors consider this bird to be part of a species complex with Cinnyris afer, where it joins Ludwig's double-collared sunbird and Prigogine's double-collared sunbird. As with other closely related species, each inhabiting different locations, there are subtle similarities and differences between the local populations, and their taxonomic treatment depends on the views of the taxonomist.
Prigogine's sunbird or Prigogine's double-collared sunbird is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae.
The lesser banana frog is a species of frog in the family Hyperoliidae.
Afrixalus stuhlmanni is a species of frog in the family Hyperoliidae. It is endemic to Tanzania.
Afrixalus sylvaticus is a species of frog in the family Hyperoliidae. Its common name is forest banana frog or forest spiny reed frog.
Stuhlmann's starling is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. It is found in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Their length is usually around 19 cm, and they feed on seed, grain, arthropods and larvae.
The regal sunbird is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. It is native to the Albertine Rift montane forests.
Stuhlmann's golden mole is a species of mammal in the family Chrysochloridae. It is found in Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and high-elevation shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, subtropical or tropical dry grassland, arable land, and pasture.
The eastcoast lampeye is a species of fish in the family Poeciliidae. It is endemic to coastal Kenya and Tanzania, where found in brackish water, mangrove swamps, pools, lagoons and river deltas. It reaches up to 5 cm (2.0 in) in total length. This fish was described by Ernst Ahl as Haplochilichthys stuhlmanni with the type locality given as Tanganyika Territory. The specific name honours the co-leader of the German East Africa Expedition (1889-1892) on which type was collected, Franz Ludwig Stuhlmann (1863-1928) of the German Colonial Service.
Burnupia is a genus of small freshwater snails or limpets, aquatic gastropod mollusks that are traditionally placed in the family Planorbidae.
Burnupia stuhlmanni is a species of small freshwater snail or limpet, an aquatic gastropod mollusk which was traditionally placed in the family Planorbidae, the ram's horn snails and their allies.
Lanistes stuhlmanni is a species of large freshwater snail, an aquatic gastropod mollusk with a gill and an operculum in the family Ampullariidae, the apple snails.
Sphaerium stuhlmanni is a species of freshwater bivalve in the family Sphaeriidae. It is endemic to Lake Victoria in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. It occurs on muddy and sandy bottoms, typically in shallow waters but potentially down to 50 m depth.
Nepogomphoides stuhlmanni is a species of dragonfly in the family Gomphidae. It is found in Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
Tropodiaptomus is a genus of copepods in the family Diaptomidae. It includes the following species, many of which are narrow endemics and are included on the IUCN Red List :
Tropodiaptomus stuhlmanni is a species of calanoid copepod in the family Diaptomidae.
The Stuhlmann's elephant shrew is a species of elephant shrew that lives in the forests and savannas of Africa. It was discovered in 1893 and declared a new species. In the 1960s, however, it was downgraded to a subspecies of checkered sengi. In 2018, following genetic tests, scientists re-evaluated the mammal as a full species again.
