Nadine Broersen is a Dutch track and field athlete, specializing in the heptathlon and high jump. She holds the current national record in the high jump with 1.94m. She is the 2014 World Indoor pentathlon champion. She competes for the track and field club AV Sprint in Breda.

It was organised by local organisations AV Phoenix and U-track. The competition was originally scheduled earlier in the year, and to include qualification for the 2020 European Athletics Championships, but the events were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This necessitated a change of location and events were carried out without an audience. The 10,000 metres races were held separately at the Golden Spike Leiden meet on 19 September.
Nienke Timmer is a Dutch Paralympic athlete with cerebral palsy. She competes in 100 and 200 metres sprinting events for T35-classified athletes. She won the bronze medal in the women's 100 metres T35 event at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She is also a three-time silver medalist at the World Para Athletics European Championships.
