The Netherlands men's national basketball team represents the Netherlands in international basketball matches. The national team is governed by Basketball Nederland.
The Czech Republic men's national basketball team, recognised by FIBA as Czechia, represents the Czech Republic in international basketball. The team is controlled by the Czech Basketball Federation (ČBF).
The Belarus men's national basketball team represented Belarus in international basketball matches, and are controlled by the Belarusian Basketball Federation. They came into existence in 1992 after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The team played in their first official match the following year versus Lithuania. They are Europe's most populous nation to have never qualified for a major international basketball competition.
The Czech Republic women's national basketball team represents the Czech Republic in international women's basketball. Their biggest success so far is the gold medal at the EuroBasket 2005. Czech Republic are one of the newest national basketball teams in the world, having split from the Czechoslovakia women's national basketball team after the dissolution of the unified state in 1993, with both countries continuing as the successor of the Czechoslovak team.
The Israel women's national basketball team represents Israel in international women's basketball matches and is controlled by the Israel Basketball Association. Israel have hosted the FIBA Women's EuroBasket in 1991, and hosted again in 2023 along with Slovenia.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cupqualification for the FIBA Europe region, began in August 2017 and concluded in February 2019. Contrary to previous years, no teams were automatically placed into the World Cup, so all FIBA Europe nations had to participate in qualification.
The 2017 FIBA U16 Women's European Championship was the 29th edition of the Women's European basketball championship for national under-16 teams. It was played from 4 to 12 August 2017 in Bourges, France.
The 2017 FIBA U16 European Championship Division B was played in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 10 to 19 August 2017. 24 teams participated in the competition. Greece won the competition without losing a single game and won the promotion to Division A. Netherlands and Georgia also gained promotion.
