New York's 2nd State Assembly district is one of the 150 districts in the New York State Assembly. It has been represented by Jodi Giglio since 2021, replacing Anthony Palumbo.

District 2 is located entirely within Suffolk County, comprising the northern portion of the county. It includes portions of the town of Brookhaven and Southampton, and the town of Riverhead. [1]

New York's 1st congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives in eastern Long Island. It includes the eastern two-thirds of Suffolk County, including the northern portion of Brookhaven, as well as the entirety of the towns of Huntington, Smithtown, Riverhead, Southold, Southampton, East Hampton, and Shelter Island. The district encompasses extremely wealthy enclaves such as the Hamptons, middle class suburban towns such as Selden, Centereach, and Lake Grove, working-class towns such as Riverhead and rural farming communities such as Mattituck and Jamesport on the North Fork. She stepped down from the Assembly after winning an election for Town Clerk of Brookhaven, New York in November 2009.
