Nicolas Daryl Florence (born June 21, 1989) is a former American football quarterback for the Baylor Bears.
Florence attended South Garland High School in Garland, Texas. During this career, he threw for 8,001 yards and 87 touchdowns. He was rated a three-star recruit by the Rivals.com recruiting service, and ranked as the 22nd-best dual-threat quarterback recruit in his class by Rivals. [1]
As a true freshman in 2009, Florence started the season as the third-string quarterback. After injuries to Robert Griffin III and Blake Szymanski, Florence took over as the starter and started seven of the next nine games. He finished the season completing 165 of 266 passes for 1,786 yards with six touchdowns and nine interceptions. Florence returned to backup as a sophomore in 2010 and played in seven games, completing 6 of 12 passes for 55 yards. As a junior in 2011, he played in two games as a backup, completing 9 of 12 passes for 151 yards with two touchdowns. Florence became the starter in 2012 after Griffin entered the NFL. [2] He finished the season completing 286 of 464 passes for 4,309 yards with 33 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He also had 568 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. [3]
In the 2012 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl, he broke Griffin's single-season passing yards record.
After completing his Baylor career in the 2012 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl, Florence elected not to pursue the NFL and focused instead on completing his master's degree at Baylor [4] Florence is now working at Baylor University as a managing director of development. [5] .
Kyle Raymond Orton is a former American football quarterback. He played college football for Purdue, where he started four straight bowl games. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. After an injury to Bears starter Rex Grossman, Orton was pressed into service as the starting quarterback during his rookie year, starting the first 14 games of the 2005 season, but was replaced by Grossman for the playoffs that year. Orton did not play at all in 2006, and sparingly in 2007. He regained his starting job from Grossman in 2008, but the team finished a disappointing 9–7 and out of the playoffs. In the offseason of that year, he was traded to the Denver Broncos.
James Bradley Johnson is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback for 17 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), Johnson played for the Minnesota Vikings, Washington Redskins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Dallas Cowboys. He is best known for his time with the Buccaneers, whom he led to their Super Bowl XXXVII title over the Oakland Raiders.

He played college football for the Arizona Wildcats and was selected in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Foles had a breakout season in 2013 when he set the NFL season record for the best touchdown–interception ratio and led the Eagles to a division title, earning him Pro Bowl honors. Unable to duplicate his success the following year, Foles was traded to the St. Louis Rams, where he also struggled during his one season.

The 2012 Baylor Bears football team represented Baylor University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Art Briles and played its home games at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas. The Bears were members of the Big 12 Conference. The conference slate began with a trip to Morgantown, West Virginia to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers, and concluded at home against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. On December 2, Baylor accepted a berth in the 2012 Holiday Bowl to face #17 UCLA, where they defeated the Bruins, 49–26, on December 27.
