Nicki Moore (born March 17, 1974) is an American athletic administrator who has been serving as director of athletics and physical education at Cornell University since November 2022.
From the University of Missouri, Moore received a Bachelor of Science with a major in secondary education in 1996, a Master of Arts in counseling psychology in 1998, and a Doctor of Philosophy in counseling psychology in 2002. [1] [2]
She served as an assistant athletic director at the University of Oklahoma from 2004 to 2010, at the University of Oklahoma from 2010 to 2015, and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2015 to 2018. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
Moore served as athletic director at Colgate University from 2018 to 2023. [7] She was named the first female athletic director at Cornell University on November 30, 2022. [8] [9]
The Patriot League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising private institutions of higher education and two United States service academies based in the Northeastern United States. Except for the Ivy League, it is the most selective group of higher education institutions in NCAA Division I, and has a very high student-athlete graduation rate for both the NCAA graduation success rate and the federal graduation rate.
Colgate University is a private liberal arts college in Hamilton, New York. The college was founded in 1819 as the Baptist Education Society of the State of New York and operated under that name until 1823, when it was renamed Hamilton Theological and Literary Institution, often called Hamilton College (1823–1846), then Madison College (1846–1890), and its present name since 1890.
ECAC Hockey is one of the six conferences that compete in NCAA Division I ice hockey. The conference used to be affiliated with the Eastern College Athletic Conference, a consortium of over 300 colleges in the eastern United States. This relationship ended in 2004; however, the ECAC abbreviation was retained in the name of the hockey conference. ECAC Hockey is the only ice hockey conference with identical memberships in both its women's and men's divisions. Cornell has won the most ECAC men's hockey championships with 13, followed by Harvard at 11. Quinnipiac, which joined the league in 2005, already has 7 regular season championships. ECAC Hockey teams have won 10 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championships, most recently in 2023.
Charles Hewes Moore Jr. was an American track and field athlete, as well as a philanthropist, businessman, and champion of societal reform. Moore won a gold medal in the 400 metre hurdles in the 1952 Summer Olympics with a time of 50.8 seconds, narrowly missing the world record of 50.6 seconds. He had set the American record during Olympic qualifying. He also ran the third leg of the second-place 4×400 metres relay at the Olympics. Moore finished second for the James E. Sullivan Award for top U.S. athlete in 1952, and was selected as one of "100 Golden Olympians" in 1996. In 1999, he was inducted into the United States National Track and Field Hall of Fame. Charles Moore, an Olympics athlete of track and field died on October 8, 2020, in Laporte, Pennsylvania. He was 91 years old.
Boone Pickens Stadium has been home to the Oklahoma State University Cowboys football team in rudimentary form since 1919, and as a complete stadium since 1920. Aligned in an east-west direction since 1920, the field is the oldest in the Big 12 Conference.

Francis Joseph Dunphy is an American college basketball coach, who is the head coach of the La Salle Explorers of the Atlantic 10 Conference. He is the former men's basketball coach at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. He succeeded John Chaney in 2006 and was succeeded by Aaron McKie in 2019. In June 2020, Dunphy was named interim athletic director of Temple. In 2022, he was named the men's basketball coach of the La Salle Explorers.
Jack Robert Lengyel is an American software executive and former college football coach, college lacrosse coach, and athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at the College of Wooster from 1966 to 1970 and at Marshall University from 1971 until 1974, compiling a career college football record of 33–54. At Marshall, he took over the Thundering Herd football program after the Southern Airways Flight 932 plane crash that killed nearly the entire team in 1970. Lengyel was the athletic director at California State University, Fresno from 1983 to 1986, at the University of Missouri from 1986 to 1988, and at the United States Naval Academy from 1988 to 2001. He served as the interim athletic director at Temple University in 2002, at Eastern Kentucky University from 2002 to 2003, and at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2004 to 2005.

The teams include men and women's basketball, cross country, ice hockey, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, swimming & diving, track and field and tennis. Men's sports include golf and football. Women's sports include field hockey, softball, and volleyball.
John Brian Swarbrick Jr. is the former athletic director at the University of Notre Dame. His appointment was announced in July 2008, replacing Kevin White, who resigned in June 2008 to take the same position at Duke University. Swarbrick served until 2024, when he was replaced by Pete Bevacqua.
David John Archer is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the head coach of the Cornell Big Red football team, from January 2013 until November 2023.
The Cornell–Colgate football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Cornell Big Red and the Colgate Raiders. The two teams have met 104 times since their first meeting in 1896. Cornell has played Colgate in football more times than any other opponent except Ivy League rivals Penn and Columbia. Cornell leads the series 51–50–3.
Delores "Dee" Boeckmann was an American middle-distance runner. She competed in the women's 800 metres at the 1928 Summer Olympics. Apart from competing, Boeckmann was the first woman to coach the United States national track and field team during the 1936 Summer Olympics. She was inducted into the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1976.
Victoria Chun is the current director of athletics for Yale University. She previously served as athletic director for Colgate University from 2012 to 2018, as an associate athletic director at Colgate University from 2007 to 2012, and as women's volleyball head coach at Colgate University from 1994 to 1996. Chun attended college at Colgate University, where she played on the Colgate Raiders women's volleyball team. Chun was named athletic director at Yale University on February 1, 2018.
David T. Roach is a former American college athletics administrator. Roach served as athletic director at Fordham University from 2012 to 2020, as athletic director at Colgate University from 2004 to 2012, as athletic director at Brown University from 1990 to 2004, as head swimming coach at the University of Tennessee from 1986 to 1990, and as head swimming coach at Brown University from 1978 to 1986. Roach attended college at Springfield College, where he competed on the school's swimming team. Roach was named athletic director at Fordham University on September 26, 2012.

Milton Overton is the current director of athletics for Kennesaw State University. He previously served as athletic director at Florida A&M University from 2015 to 2017, as an associate athletic director at the University of Alabama from 2009 to 2015, and as an associate athletic director at Texas A&M University from 1999 to 2009. Overton attended college at the University of Oklahoma, where he played on the offensive line on the Oklahoma Sooners football team. Overton was named athletic director at Kennesaw State University on October 31, 2017.
Joe Manhertz is the former director of athletics for St. Bonaventure University. He previously served as associate athletic director at Duke University from 2010 to 2021, and in various administrative roles at the Ohio State University, Hamilton College, Syracuse University, and Colgate University. Manhertz grew up in Fairport, New York, and attended college at Colgate University, where he played college football and college basketball on the school's football and basketball teams. Manhertz was named athletic director at St. Bonaventure University on August 19, 2021.
The 2024 Cornell Big Red football team will represent Cornell University as a member of the Ivy League during the 2024 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The team will be led by first-year head coach Dan Swanstrom and will play its home games at Schoellkopf Field in Ithaca, New York.
