Leonard Dorin Doroftei is a Romanian former boxer, the WBA Lightweight World Champion from 5 January 2002 to 24 October 2003.
Pascual Nicolás Pérez was an Argentine flyweight boxer. Pérez was born in Tupungato in the Mendoza Province of Argentina, he went on to make history by becoming Argentina's first world boxing champion.
Howard Edward Davis Jr. was an American professional boxer. Growing up on Long Island as the eldest of 10 children, Davis first learned boxing from his father. After being inspired by a movie about Muhammad Ali, Davis embarked on his amateur career. He won the 1976 Olympic gold medal one week after his mother died. He was also awarded the Val Barker Trophy at the Olympics, beating out such boxers as Sugar Ray Leonard, Michael Spinks and Leon Spinks.

Mihai Leu also known as Michael Loewe is a Romanian former professional boxer who competed between 1991 and 1997. He held the WBO welterweight title in 1997.
Mircea Șimon is a retired Romanian heavyweight boxer. He took up boxing in 1971 at Dinamo Bucharest, coached by Constantin Nour, and won a silver medal at the 1976 Olympics, losing to Teófilo Stevenson in the final. Șimon also won four national senior titles and two bronze medals at the European Amateur Boxing Championships. In 1978 he fled to the United States, where in 1978–1979 he fought 14 bouts as a professional with a record of 12 wins and two draws. He later returned to Romania and coached Marian and Dorel Simion. He then took a break from boxing for ten years, and in 2007 worked with Romanian Boxing Federation to prepare the national team for the 2008 Olympics.
Costică Dafinoiu was a light-heavyweight boxer from Romania. He took up boxing in 1969, winning a bronze medal at the 1976 Olympics, a gold and a silver medals at the Romanian National Amateur Boxing Championship and won the Golden belt international tournament organized by Romania in 1974. He retired in 1981, and after receiving a degree in physical education worked as a boxing coach at his native club CS Progresul Brăila.

Ion Monea was a Romanian amateur boxer. He competed as a middleweight in 1960–64 and won a bronze medal at the 1960 Olympics and a silver medal at the 1963 European Championships, placing fifth at the 1964 Olympics. He then moved up to the light-heavyweight division and won three more medals, at the 1967 and 1969 European championships and 1968 Olympics, losing on all three occasions to Danas Pozniakas. He did not fight Pozniakas in 1968 though, as he had a broken nose from his previous bout and withdrew from the Olympic final.
Vasile Tiţă was a Romanian amateur middleweight boxer. He won a silver medal at his first major international tournament, the 1952 Olympics, losing in the final to Floyd Patterson. After that he competed at the 1953, 1955 and 1957 European championships with the best result of reaching the quarterfinals in 1955. Domestically he won seven consecutive national titles in 1951–57, six in the 71 kg and one in the 75 kg division. He died aged 85 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease for a decade.
