The Nokia 7700 is a smartphone produced by Nokia, announced in October 2003 but never released. It was produced as a prototype unit between 2003-2004. It was expected to be the first smartphone running the Series 90 GUI on Symbian OS and Nokia's first pen-based device, intending to compete against handsets like Sony Ericsson P800. At announcement Nokia dubbed it a "media device."
The Nokia 6800 series are a selection of Nokia Series 40 phones with an unusual fold-out QWERTY keyboard. Nokia Lumia 710 is a Windows Phone 7 smartphone. Its release is part of a change in company's direction which has resulted in a shift from Symbian platform towards Windows Phone for smartphones. While the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 target the high-end of the smartphone marketplace, the Lumia 610 and Lumia 710 are aimed at the mid-range price point. This generation of Lumia phones ship with Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango". Its design is almost the same as the Symbian Nokia 603, announced just over a week earlier.
The Nokia Lumia 620 is an entry-level smartphone designed, developed and marketed by Nokia. It is the successor to the Lumia 610, and is one of the first Nokia phones to implement Windows Phone 8 alongside the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820. Although sharing a similar name with the Lumia 610, the Lumia 620 is a major overhaul over its predecessor, employing a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor. Microsoft Mobile was a subsidiary of Microsoft involved in the development and manufacturing of mobile phones. Based in Espoo, Finland, it was established in 2014 following the acquisition of Nokia's Devices and Services division by Microsoft in a deal valued at €5.4 billion, which was completed in April 2014. Nokia's then-CEO, Stephen Elop, joined Microsoft as president of its Devices division following the acquisition, and the acquisition was part of Steve Ballmer's strategy to turn Microsoft into a "devices and services" company. Under a 10-year licensing agreement, Microsoft Mobile held rights to sell feature phones running the S30+ platform under the Nokia brand.
HMD Global Oy, branded as HMD and Nokia Mobile, is a Finnish mobile phone manufacturer. The company is made up of the mobile phone business that Nokia sold to Microsoft in 2014, then bought back in 2016. HMD began marketing Nokia-branded smartphones and feature phones on 1 December 2016. The company has exclusive rights to the Nokia brand for mobile phones through a licensing agreement. The HMD brand is only used for corporate purposes and does not appear in advertising, whereas the name "Nokia Mobile" is used on social media.

This device, along with the Nokia 8 Sirocco, completes the lineup of Nokia-branded Android devices. The phone also has separately sold removable back covers marketed as Xpress-on, a trade-name that first appeared on the Nokia 5110. This was the first time the Xpress-on name was used since the Nokia Lumia 710 in 2012.
