North Sanpete School District is a public school district in the U.S. state of Utah. The district provides education for students in the northern half of Sanpete County. The offices for the district are located in Mount Pleasant. There are five elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and one alternative school within the district. Enrollment in 2004 was 2,376 students.

Sanpete County is a county in the U.S. state of Utah. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 28,437. Its county seat is Manti, and its largest city is Ephraim. The county was created in 1850.
Ephraim is a city in Sanpete County, Utah, United States. The population was 5,611 at the 2020 census, making it the largest city in Sanpete County. It is the location of Snow College and is located along U.S. Route 89.

Wasatch Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory boarding school for grades 8-12 and post-graduates located in Mount Pleasant, Utah, United States. It was founded in 1875 by Reverend Duncan McMillan, a Presbyterian minister who had come to the Sanpete Valley, in the mountains of central Utah, to both recover his health and to do missionary work among members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in the geographic center of Utah.

Manti High School is a public high school located in Manti, Utah, United States, and is part of the South Sanpete School District. Students from Manti, Ephraim, and Sterling attend the school. It is fed by Ephraim Middle School, which is in turn fed by Ephraim Elementary School and Manti Elementary School.

Gunnison Valley High School (GVHS) is a public high school located in Gunnison, Sanpete County, Utah, United States. Part of the South Sanpete School District, it was built to serve students in the cities of Gunnison, Centerfield, Fayette, Mayfield, and Axtell. Its mascot is the Bulldog. The official school colors are blue and white. As of 2021, its principal is Eugene King.
Spencer James Cox is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 18th governor of Utah since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the eighth lieutenant governor of Utah from 2013 to 2021. In Fairview, Utah, where Cox lives and was raised, he was elected to the city council in 2004 and then as mayor in 2005. In 2008, he was elected as a Sanpete County county commissioner.
The 2016 United States House of Representatives elections in Utah were held on November 8, 2016, to elect the four U.S. representatives from the state of Utah, one from each of the state's four congressional districts. The elections coincided with the 2016 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections. The primaries were held on June 28.
