Novoukrainka Raion is a raion (district) of Kirovohrad Oblast in central Ukraine. The administrative center of the district is the town of Novoukrainka. Population: 138,842 (2022 estimate). [2]
On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Kirovohrad Oblast was reduced to four, and the area of Novoukrainka Raion was significantly expanded. Three abolished raions, Dobrovelychkivka, Mala Vyska, and Novomyrhorod Raions, were merged into Novoukrainka Raion. [3] [4] The January 2020 estimate of the raion population was 39,968(2020 est.). Malovyskivskyi Raion was a raion (district) of Kirovohrad Oblast in central Ukraine. The city of Mala Vyska was the administrative center of the raion. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kirovohrad Oblast to four. The area of Mala Vyska Raion was merged into Novoukrainka Raion. The last estimate of the raion population was 41,251.

Three abolished raions, Kelmentsi, Khotyn, and Sokyriany Raions, part of abolished Novoselytsia Raion, as well as the city of Novodnistrovsk, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance, were merged into Dnistrovskyi Raion. The name of the raion is derived from the Dniester river. Population: 152,208.
