Nuclear Daydream is the fifth full-length album by Joseph Arthur, released on September 19, 2006. It was the first release through Joseph's own record label, Lonely Astronaut Records. The album version of "Enough to Get Away" was the first single in the UK to coincide with the album's release there. A music video was produced for "Slide Away," featuring Joseph and his band The Lonely Astronauts.
The album was released to positive reviews. Entertainment Weekly awarded the album 9.1 out of 10 stars, and Allmusic said of the album: "Without it ever deliberately going for the jugular, Nuclear Daydream is nevertheless an album that is difficult to shake out of your ears; moreover, it's one that only grows stronger with every repeated play." [2]
Joseph discussed the making of Nuclear Daydream in an interview with Newsday: [3]
He said the album came together quickly and has a warm, welcoming feel. "I kind of made it that way on purpose," he said. "I was kind of like, 'Let's make something really user-friendly,' not in any sort of sellout way, but just like when I was picking out the songs I was looking for a certain style of song and I thought, 'Let's make a record out of this.' It's the first time I just put the thing together in my head, like I was making a mixtape for a friend."
Nuclear Daydream was reissued in Europe by Fargo Records on October 6, 2009 on CD (in a mini-LP sleeve with lyrics booklet) and double heavyweight vinyl (in a gatefold sleeve). The new edition includes six previously unreleased bonus tracks that were recorded during the album's sessions. [4]

Redemption's Son is the third studio album by Joseph Arthur. The double album was first released in the UK only on May 20, 2002, due to Joseph being dropped by Virgin Records/EMI in the US. Eventually, Enjoy Records picked up the record and released it stateside on November 26, 2002 with a slightly different track listing and alternate artwork.
Real World/Virgin released the album Come to Where I'm From in the States, but when Arthur wanted to start his next project, Virgin backed off. But his overactive muse couldn't wait for corporate support, so he jumped into recording regardless. Arthur ended up with Redemption's Son, plus another two albums' worth of songs, which were released over the course of four EPs called Junkyard Hearts 1-4. "I make three or four records a year, but I've only been able to get 'em out every two or three years," says Arthur.
East Autumn Grin is Matthew Ryan's second album. It was released on August 15, 2000, on A&M Records.

The recording sessions also spawned the companion EP, And the Thieves Are Gone. There were four singles released when the album was picked up for UK distribution by 14th Floor Records. An extensive nationwide tour of the US followed the album's release, including dates with Joan Wasser. In 2005, Arthur went on a brief tour throughout Europe with R.E.M.
Powder Burns is the fourth album by Greg Dulli's The Twilight Singers. It was released on May 15, 2006 via One Little Indian Records on CD and double 12" vinyl. Powder Burns was partly recorded with extra power generators in a deserted New Orleans studio just after the floods caused by Hurricane Katrina. The album was also recorded in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Milan, and Catania.
Slow Motion Addict is the third album by Carina Round. Its release date was pushed back from August 22, 2006 to June 5, 2007. "Downslow" was the first single on the album. The title Slow Motion Addict is taken from a self-portrait by Anoushka Fisz.
A Stitch in Time is the second EP released by The Twilight Singers. The five song EP was first released on iTunes on October 10, 2006. Hard copies were then released in the UK on December 4, 2006, and in the US on January 23, 2007. A Stitch in Time features guest appearances by Mark Lanegan and Joseph Arthur. The recordings which followed, fueled in part by the memory of Demme, resulted in Blackberry Belle.

The album was released on April 17, 2007 in the US, and on September 3, 2007 in the UK. Just letting things be how they are."
Volume 5: Poetry for the Masses (SeaShedShitheadByTheSheSore) is the fifth extended play (EP) by American desert rock collective The Desert Sessions. Could We Survive is the first in a series of four EPs released in anticipation for the release of Joseph's seventh studio album Temporary People on September 30. From Billboard.com:
"When I make records, I tend to err on the side of them being too long," Arthur tells Billboard.com. "EPs keep me in a confined space. They're like poems. Plus, the EP is like the stepchild of a record -- people root for them. It's time to play with the form and the way things are done." Could We Survive, which begins with the anti-war track "Rages of Babylon," has a mix of "bigger production songs and some more lo-fi ones. I like putting those kinds of things together. On a sonic level, it's much more dynamic."
