Oceanimonas baumannii is a Gram-negative and motile bacterium from the genus of Oceanimonas which has been isolated from estuarine mud from the River Wear in England. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
The Oceanimonas are a genus of marine bacteria. They are, like all Proteobacteria, gram-negative. The rod-shaped, motile organisms are aerobic and chemoorganotroph.
Tolumonas is a genus of Gram-negative bacteria. It grows under aerobic and anaerobic conditions and is nonmotile. The cells are rods and occur in pairs or singly. It is known for one of its species biological bacterial production of toluene from phenylalanine and other phenyl precursors
The Lachnospiraceae are a family of obligately anaerobic, variably spore-forming bacteria in the order Eubacteriales that ferment diverse plant polysaccharides to short-chain fatty acids and alcohols (ethanol). These bacteria are among the most abundant taxa in the rumen and the human gut microbiota. Members of this family may protect against colon cancer in humans by producing butyric acid. Lachnospiraceae have been found to contribute to diabetes in genetically susceptible (ob/ob) germ-free mice.
Erythrobacter is a Gram-negative and rod-shaped bacteria genus from the family Erythrobacteraceae.
Cyclobacterium is a mesophilic, neutrophilic, chemoorganotrophic and aerobic bacterial genus from the family of Cyclobacteriaceae. Cyclobacterium bacteria occur in marine habitats
Caldanaerobius is a genus of thermophilic, obligately anaerobic bacteria from the family of Thermoanaerobacteraceae.
Carboxydothermus is a genus of thermophilic, anaerobic bacteria from the family of Thermoanaerobacteraceae.
Salinibacillus is a genus of bacteria from the family of Bacillaceae.
Thalassobacillus is a Gram-positive, oxidase positive, catalase negative, rod shaped and moderately halophilic genus of bacteria from the family of Bacillaceae. Single colonies are small in size.Thalassobacillus bacteria produces Meso-diaminopimelic acid. S.I. Paul et al. (2021) isolated and biochemically characterized Thalassobacillus devorans from marine sponges of the Saint Martin's Island of the Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh.
Thermanaerovibrio acidaminovorans is a moderately thermophilic and anaerobic bacterium from the genus of Thermanaerovibrio which has been isolated from granular methanogenic sludge from Breda in the Netherlands.
Aminobacterium is a Gram-negative genus of bacteria from the family of Synergistaceae.
Lamprobacter is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped and motile genus of bacteria from the family of Chromatiaceae with one known species. The habitat of Lamprobacter bacteria is hydrogen sulfide-containing mud and saline water.
Thioflavicoccus is a Gram-negative, obligately phototrophic, strictly anaerobic and motile genus of bacteria from the family of Chromatiaceae with one known species.
Thiorhodovibrio is a Gram-negative genus of bacteria from the family of Chromatiaceae.
Oceanimonas marisflavi is a Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped and motile bacterium from the genus of Oceanimonas. Oceanimonas marisflavi is able to degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
Oceanimonas smirnovii is a Gram-negative, aerobic, melanogenic and chemoorganotrophic bacterium from the genus of Oceanimonas which has been isolated from the Black Sea.
Oceanisphaera arctica is a Gram-negative, coccoid and non-motile bacterium from the genus of Oceanisphaera which has been isolated from marine sediments from Kongsfjorden.
Planomicrobium alkanoclasticum is a Gram-positive, aerobic and chemoorganotrophic bacterium from the genus of Planomicrobium.
Halanaerobium kushneri is a strictly anaerobic and halophilic bacterium from the genus of Halanaerobium.
Marinilactibacillus psychrotolerans is a Gram-positive, mesophilic, alkaliphilic, slightly halophilic, highly halotolerant, non-spore-forming and motile bacterium from the genus Marinilactibacillus which has been isolated from a sponge from the Oura beach.
